California Gov. Jerry Brown cut on Wednesday the ribbon of The Bicycle Hotel & Casino, a hotel addition to the existing Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California. The venue will officially open doors on December 1.
The Bicycle Hotel & Casino is a seven-story establishment, spreading over a 117,907-square-foot parcel of land. Apart from a number of gaming, dining, and entertainment options, it also features a luxury hotel.
Aside from Gov. Brown, the ribbon-cutting was also performed by The Bicycle Hotel & Casino CEO and Managing General Partner Hashem Minaiy and Carter Management Group, Inc. President and General Partner of the hotel and casino venue Robert H. Carter. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was also attended by Bell Gardens Mayor Jennifer Rodriguez, a number of other prominent city officials as well as hundreds of community members.
The boutique addition to the existing Bicycle Casino was built by R.D. Olson Construction. Architecture firm Lee & Sakahara Architects and interior design one Hager Design International Inc. were responsible for the establishment’s design.
The new hotel will feature a total of 70 rooms and 29 elegant suites, a number of dining options, with some of those being defined as quite innovative ones, and typical resort amenities, including an outdoor pool deck, a full spa, etc.
The first floor of the hotel offers a number of dining options, a coffee house, entry to the casino, as well as Asian-themed gaming area intended for VIP gambling customers. The second floor of the establishment features a number of resort options as well as a 9,000-square-foot event and private meeting hall, suitable for all kinds of conventions, banquets, and other types of public events.
Commenting on the newest addition to the Bicycle Casino, Mr. Minaiy said that was one of the most exciting days for him and his colleagues as well as for Bell Gardens as a whole. Mr. Carter added that he believes they have managed to build not just a beautiful hotel but also a great property that would be enjoyed by both visitors and community members.
It took years for the establishment to be carefully planned, built, and eventually launched. The amount of $50 million was spent on the new hotel, which is expected to bring gaming in the Los Angeles area to unprecedented heights.
