Stuart Moody Wins 2015/16 WSOP Circuit Harrah’s Cherokee $365 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo

Stuart Moody from Cary, North Carolina has just won Event #2: $365 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo on the schedule of the 2015/16 WSOP Circuit Harrah’s Cherokee. The player took home the amount of $26,135, his second WSOP Circuit cash, and his first-ever gold ring.

The event was a one-day one and featured a guaranteed prize pool of $25,000. A total of 396 entries took part in it. Eventually, the prize pool totaled $118,800 and the top 45 finishers received a share of the money. Payouts started from $537.

The official nine-handed final table was reached at 2 am local time. It featured two former gold ring winners – Michael Schneider and Tripp Kirk. Both players have previously won two gold pieces each. Nine-handed play started with John Conits as the chip leader, holding a total of 685,000 in chips. Moody was third in chips at the beginning of the final table with 580,000.

It took about an hour of play before the names of the two heads-up opponents were clear. Moody had to face two-time gold ring winner Michael Schneider. Heads-up action at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino started with Moody holding two times more chips than his opponent. And it was Moody who emerged victorious to collect his first career WSOP Circuit gold ring and the first-place prize of $26,135. And Schneider – a poker pro from Covington, Georgia, had to content with the runner-up finish and a consolation prize of $16,151.

Charles Clubb from Coolidge, Arizona finished 3rd in the event to collect the amount of $11,802. John Conits from Taylors, South Carolina took 4th place for a payout of $8,763. James Holland from Fayetteville, North Carolina received $6,608 for finishing 5th in the event.

Allen Hughes from Summerville, Georgia took 6th place and scooped $5,057 for his efforts. Kevin Beaudin from Gay, Georgia finished 7th for $3,928. Tripp Kirk from Atlanta, Georgia, the other former gold ring winner at the table, collected $3,094 for finishing 8th in the event. Rounding out the official final table, William Reason from West Columbia, Georgia took 9th place and was paid the amount of $2,471.

Harrah’s Cherokee Casino will play host to the WSOP Circuit up to December 7, with the $1,675 Main Event slated to kick off on December 4.
