A fourth casino opened doors in Malta after it was granted the necessary license by the country’s Gaming Authority. The gambling venue has been developed and is to be operated by Estonian gambling operator Olympic Entertainment Group and local partner Eden Leisure Gaming.
Casino Malta by Olympic Casino, as the venue is called, is the Estonian company’s largest one and is located in one of Malta’s most popular tourism destinations. The gaming facility spreads over 3,000 square meters and is part of Malta InterContinental Hotel. Gambling customers are offered 285 slot machines, 2 electronic roulette tables, as well as 29 tables for poker and other popular casino games.
A spacious sports betting bar is also among the attractive amenities offered at the venue. In addition, a large lounge area would provide visitors with weekly live entertainment.
Currently, there are 175 people employed at the new casino. They have been trained both in Maltese and other European casinos for the past several months.
Casino Malta by Olympic Casino is the largest one on the island and the largest one operated by Olympic Entertainment. Developers invested the total amount of €12 million in its establishment. They told media that the casino features the latest slot machines and the most popular table games and aims at attracting the attention of both local and international gambling customers.
Commenting on the casino opening, owners Ian and Kevin De Cesare commented that they are extremely happy to finally launch their venue. They further noted that their experienced partners from Olympic Entertainment will make sure that the island’s gambling industry will be expanded rather than cannibalized by foreign operators.
The two owners also pointed out that the fact that the casino is located in a popular hotel and that it is managed by established gambling and entertainment operators would be “a tremendous winning formula.”
Apart from the recently launched casino in Malta, Olympic Entertainment operates gambling venues across Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, Belarus, Slovakia, and Italy. The company currently employs more than 3,000 people and is among the largest providers of land-based gambling options in Europe. It is also important to note that the Estonia-headquartered operator is a full member of the European Casino Association.
