Poker Tournaments to Start between December 28-January 3

The past twelve months were full of great excitement for poker players and fans of the game, with both new and well-established tournaments taking place. And the good news is that 2016 promises to be equally thrilling. Here is a little more information about the last poker festivals to take place in 2015 and the ones scheduled to begin on the first days of 2016.

2015 New Year’s Eve Tournament

Turning Stone Casino and Resort in Verona, New York will be host to an exciting one-day event on December 31. Everyone interested will have to pay a buy-in of $140 in order to be able to enter it and get the chance to collect a share of the prize pool.

2016 Tampa Downs Winter Fest

The Silks Poker Room at Tampa Bay Downs in Florida will welcome players for this exciting tournament. It will run from January 1 to January 10 and will offer entries numerous options for winning considerable amounts of money and other prizes. The tournament will feature six No-Limit Hold’em events and a Pot-Limit Omaha one. Buy-ins for those vary from $100 to $600 for the three-day Main Event. It is scheduled to start on January 8 and will feature a guaranteed prize pool of $60,000.

2016 WPT National – Philippines

The first WPT National poker festival for 2016 is slated to kick off on January 2 and will run through January 8. The tournament will take place at the poker rooms of Solaire Resort & Casino in Manila. Players will have the opportunity to enter any of the thirteen different events on the WPT National schedule. Buy-ins for those start from $160 to $200,000 for the Super High Roller. The two-day event will be held for the very first time in the WPT history and will start on January 3.

The $1,650 Main Event is yet another exciting event on the schedule of the WPT National – Philippines. It will kick off on January 4 and will run through January 8.

2016 WPTDeepStacks – Hustler

Hustler Casino in Gardena, California is set to play host to the first WPTDeepStack tournament for 2016. The poker festival will run from January 2 to January 11 and will feature five No-Limit Hold’em events with quite attractive prize pools. Players will have to pay between $250 and $1,100 in order to enter those.

The five-day $1,100 Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $300,000 is scheduled to begin on January 7. The four-day $350 No-Limit Hold’em with a guaranteed prize pool of $250,000 is another exciting event on the tournament’s schedule. It is slated for January 2.

2016 iNinja Poker Tour

The tournament is to take place from January 2 through January 10 at Canterbury Park Racetrack & Card Club in Shakopee, Minnesota. Among others, it will feature a $675 Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000. It is scheduled to run from January 7 to January 10.
