The European Poker Tour is returning to Dublin, Ireland for the first time in eight years for an exciting poker festival running February 9-20. The last EPT Dublin took place in October 2007 and saw American Reuben Peters best the field of the Main Event to collect the amount of €532,620.
The Royal Dublin Society will play host to the poker festival, just as it did in previous years when Dublin welcomed the popular tour. It is interesting to note that back in 2004, when the EPT kicked off its first season, that same venue played host to the third-ever stop of what later on turned into Europe’s biggest poker tour. The EPT has grown quite a lot since then and its Season 12 Dublin stop promises to be more exciting than ever.
EPT Dublin’s schedule will be merged with the United Kingdom and Ireland Poker Tour’s one and both tours will feature a total of 67 events with various poker formats included as well as various buy-ins for those.
The EPT Dublin €5,300 Main Event is scheduled to take place between February 14-20 and the UKIPT €1,100 Main Event is slated for February 10-14. Both events will feature two starting flights each. Everyone interested can win a seat into the two tournaments by playing in live satellites that are to take place in Dublin during the tour or in online ones at PokerStars.
Apart from the two Main Events, which will indisputably highlight the festival, there will be other thrilling tournaments on its schedule, with four high roller ones being among those. The €25,750 High Roller is to run between February 12-14, the standard three-day €10,300 High Roller will kick off on February 18, the €10,200 Single-Day High Roller will take place on February 15, and the UKIPT €2,200 High Roller will be held from February 13-14.
And apart from the wide variety of tournaments that are slated to run during EPT Dublin, players will also have the chance to take part in a number of ring games.
