Tropicana Entertainment Appoints Brian Marsh as General Manager of Lumiere Place Casino and Hotels

News

Casino operator Tropicana Entertainment Inc. announced on Tuesday that Brian Marsh has been appointed as General Manager of Lumière Place Casino and Hotels in St. Louis, Missouri. Here it is important to note that his appointment first needs to be licensed by the state Gaming Commission.

Mr. Marsh has worked in the industry for more than 20 years now. Being Lumière Place’s new General Manager, he will be responsible for the venue’s overall operations. Previously, he has worked as General Manager of Indiana’s French Lick Resort & Casino. During his tenure there, the executive had to oversee the casino’s launch and was in charge of its operations.

Prior to that, Mr. Marsh had taken the posts of Director of Slot Operations at Trump Indiana Casino and Hotel, Regional Gaming Operations Manager for WMS Gaming Illinois, as well as Slot Operations Director at Harrah’s Entertainment.

Commenting on Mr. Marsh’s appointment, Tropicana President and Chief Executive Officer Tony Rodio said that they are really happy to welcome him to their team. Mr. Rodio added that they are all convinced that Mr. Marsh’s experience and presence at Lumière Place would re-energize the gambling venue and would benefit both staff members and gambling customers.

The casino at Lumière Place spreads over 75,000 square feet and features a number of slot machines and table games, as well as a poker room. The complex was purchased by Tropicana back in 2014 after it had been given the green light by the Missouri Gaming Commission. The gambling operator paid the amount of $260 million for the glitzy hotel and casino resort.

It is interesting to note that developer and former owner Pinnacle Entertainment spent about twice as much to build it and launched it towards the end of 2007. The company, which runs casinos in Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Missouri, had to sell the property as a requirement for the completion of its purchase of Ameristar Casinos. Pinnacle Entertainment bought the rival gambling operator for the amount of $2.8 million.

Tropicana Entertainment is a gambling operator that currently manages a total of eight casinos in Aruba, Indiana, Louisiana, Nevada, New Jersey, Mississippi, and Missouri. Overall, Tropicana’s properties feature 8,035 slot machines, 304 table games, and a total of 5,525 rooms.
