Gaming Realms Reports Record Revenue Increase for 2015

Events & Reports

Developer of online gaming solutions Gaming Realms reported a record revenue increase of 116% for 2015. The company generated a total of £21.4 million last year. Gaming Realms officials told media that the record revenue growth was completely in line with expectations.

Revenue from real-money gaming products increased 305% year-on-year to reach £10.8 million in 2015. During the fourth quarter of the year, real-money gaming income rose 39% quarter-on-quarter. Overall revenue generated in the three months ended December 31 was up 14% versus the previous quarter.

Commenting on the company’s financial performance in 2015, Gaming Realms CEO Patrick Southon said that it made great progress in 2015 and the record revenue increase could be attributed to a great extent to the introduction of its proprietary gaming platform – Grizzly.

Gaming Realms also signed key major deal last year involving its most popular gaming format Slingo. The company inked a three-year contract with Fremantle Media, an international content business, part of the RTL Group, under the terms of which, Slingo will be introduced to a number of new player channels under the X Factor brand. A considerable marketing campaign is to be carried out in the third quarter of 2016, when the show is slated to begin.

Another deal with producer Endemol will see Gaming Realms launch a new game under the Deal or No Deal brand. The company said that thus, its Slingo format will be leveraged with the popular Endemol brand. The game is expected to go live in the second quarter of 2016. Gaming Realms said that its new product will likely replicate Slingo’s success as well as that of the developer’s proprietary brands.

Under a third agreement, one with popular developer of social games Zynga, Gaming Realms is to launch a Slingo-branded slot in the growing social casino market. As part of the deal, the company will be paid a royalty on the net revenue generated by the game over a period of three years.

Mr. Southon said that all three agreements will help Gaming Realms introduce its products to new player audiences and find new revenue streams. The company is to report its full-year results for 2015 in April.
