Generally speaking, RAY, or the Finnish Slot Machine Association, was founded in 1938 and was converted into a private corporation in 1962. Currently, it holds the exclusive rights for the operation of all slot machines and casino gambling operations across the country. RAY manages over 21,000 gaming machines in 7,500 locations around Finland. The corporation is also in charge of the country’s only casino – Casino Helsinki.
In 2015, RAY reported gaming revenue of €420 million. All the proceeds generated by its operations are contributed to Finnish health and welfare organizations.
Here it is also important to note that this will not be the first time RAY is working with DRGT. The supplier’s systems have already been in operation in four of the operator’s Feel Vegas arcades. Commenting on the latest agreement between the two companies, RAY Business Manager Sina Hentunen said that DRGT provides a very stable and secure system, which is also flexible enough to allow RAY tune it to its own needs.
Joost van Egeraat, Sales Director for DRGT’s European division, said that RAY has quite a lot of experience in the gambling industry and knows the global gambling market particularly well, including the providers of gaming solutions and what they offer. Mr. van Egeraat further noted that winning the corporation’s trust has turned into a major drive in his company’s strategy to become the fastest growing supplier of systems for the gambling industry.
As mentioned above, RAY is expected to launch three new Feel Vegas arcades in 2016. They will all be fitted with DRGT’s system solutions. Ms. Hentunen said that they have chosen DRGT’s products as they are stable and work offline. The executive also added that they are pleased with the “speed of professionalism of installations.”
According to Ms. Hentunen, DRGT is a reliable partner that will help the gambling corporation improve its corporate philosophy. She promised a busy and action-packed year for both RAY, DRGT, and Finland’s gambling industry.
