Gibraltar-based online lottery operator Lottoland revealed today that it has appointed Gavin Grimes as its new Vice President of Gaming. The news about Mr. Grimes joining the company came shortly after it had announced the appointment of Lucky Multani as Chief Operating Officer and Rob Fell as Vice President of Product.
Generally speaking, Lottoland provides gambling customers with the chance to bet on the outcome of lotteries from a number of European countries, the United States, and Australia. It also offers a variety of scratchcards.
It is important to note that Mr. Grimes is no stranger to the online gambling industry. Lottoland’s new Vice President of Gaming is joining the company from major gambling operator Gala Coral. There, the official served as Head of Social Gaming. Prior to this, he had spent several years at marketing agency McBroom, where he had taken the post of Managing Director. Mr. Grimes had also served as Head of Marketing at provider of spread betting options Cantor Index. Overall, his career in the online gaming industry spans almost two decades.
Commenting on the latest announcement, Lottoland CEO Nigel Birrell said in a statement from earlier today that Mr. Grimes’ know-how and expertise will be of much help to the company as it is to further extend its product offering. As it seems, Lottoland is expected to expand its presence into the online gambling market by adding more traditional online gaming options to the ones it currently offers. Mr. Birrell added that they are delighted to have on-board a person with such an “outstanding track record.”
Mr. Grimes commented that the online gambling companies to grow as fast as Lottoland does are not much and that he is particularly excited to become part of the operator’s “continued development.” The official also added that he is looking forward to contributing to the business’ diversification.
According to Mr. Grimes, Lottoland is in a perfect position to expand its current product offering and that he is happy to be able to help the company turn into a leader in both the online gambling industry and the world of lottery betting.
