PokerStars to Launch NetEnt Online Casino Content in New Jersey

News

Online casino solutions provider NetEnt today announced that it has penned a license agreement with Canadian gambling giant Amaya Inc. Under its terms, the Swedish company will supply a selection of desktop and mobile games to Amaya’s PokerStars brand, which is set to go live in New Jersey later this month.

The major Canadian gaming company has previously partnered with NetEnt for the provision of the latter’s gaming content across Europe. Here it is also important to note that the Swedish provider’s agreement with Amaya is the latest of a series of such deals it has signed for the provision of its product offering in New Jersey over the past several months. Atlantic City’s Borgata, Resorts Casino, Tropicana, Golden Nugget, as well as Caesars Interactive Entertainment are among the company’s existing partners in the Garden State.

NetEnt is to submit an application for a transactional waiver from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement in order to be able to launch its games with PokerStars, while waiting for its application for a full license to be reviewed by the state gambling regulator. Earlier this month, the online poker brand, which is currently the largest and most popular in the world, announced that its New Jersey gaming website is slated to go live on March 21.

Commenting on NetEnt’s latest agreement, Björn Krantz, Managing Director of NetEnt Americas LLC, said that they are pleased with the opportunity to extend their existing partnership with Amaya and its most popular brand – PokerStars. And given the online poker room’s popularity, Mr. Krantz added that the content deal is yet another indication for the trust and confidence in the Swedish supplier’s “operational and portfolio capabilities.”

The executive further commented that PokerStars’ New Jersey-based gambling customers will most certainly enjoy the enhanced experience they are to be provided with through NetEnt’s portfolio once the poker brand goes live within the state’s borders.

Amaya Director of Casino Sam Hobcraft said that they are happy to be extending their global partnership with NetEnt, which has already proved to be quite successful. The official further pointed out that the integration of NetEnt’s content will help Amaya and PokerStars, in particular, develop into one of the leaders in New Jersey’s online casino market.
