Provider of solutions for the online gambling industry NYX Gaming Group announced today the soft launch of a selection of its slots games on PokerStars New Jersey, which, too, went live today after receiving an approval from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
NYX Gaming said that today’s roll-out was the first one in a series of such releases, which would result in New Jersey-based players being given access to slots titles developed by the supplier’s proprietary studio NextGen.
Commenting on the latest announcement, NYX Gaming CEO Matt Davey said that they are really happy to see PokerStars going live in New Jersey with 20 of his company’s games. The games release comes as part of the provider’s six-year license agreement with PokerStars’ owner Amaya, which the two companies signed in the third quarter of 2015. Among other things, NYX Gaming is to receive annually a minimum payment of C$12 million from the Canadian gambling operator in the first three years of their agreement.
PokerStars Director of Casino Sam Hobcraft said that NextGen’s games have proved to be extremely popular among his company’s Europe-based players and that they are delighted by the opportunity to offer those games to New Jersey-based gambling customers as well.
Popular slots titles such as Irish Eyes 2, Judge Dredd, and King Kong – Island of Skull Mountain, are among the initially rolled out ones. As mentioned above, more games are to become available on the PokerStars New Jersey website in the months to come.
David Johnson, Commercial Director at NYX Gaming, pointed out that they are delighted to be announcing their go-live within New Jersey’s borders, particularly given the fact that they will be working with PokerStars, which has been part of the roster of “premium, regulated operator” to license content with NYX Gaming.
