Imperus Technologies Nominated for Social Slots Operator in 2016 EGR North America Awards

News

Canadian social casino games developer and operator Imperus Technologies Corp. announced today that it has been among the six gaming companies to be shortlisted in the Social Slots Operator category in this year’s EGR North America Awards, known to be one of the most prestigious ceremonies to be held in recognition of the online gambling industry.

In addition to this, Imperus’ subsidiary Akamon Entertainment, which is known to be a major social casino operator in Latin America and Southern Europe, has been nominated in three categories – Social Bingo Operator, Social Operator, and Acquisition Strategy. The gaming company was acquired by its current owner back in November 2015 for the amount of $25 million.

Commenting on the latest announcement, Imperus CEO James Lantheir said in a statement that they are proud of their teams and that they absolutely deserve recognition. Bearing in mind the nomination as well as Imperus’ financial results, it could be said that the operator’s strategy has proved to be successful, the executive added.

Vicenç Marti, President of the Canadian social casino company, said that it is a great honor to be nominated in the EGR North America Awards and that their Social Slots Operator nomination is yet another indication that Imperus is driving innovation in the social slots business, thus achieving excellent financial results. Mr. Marti further added that both Imperus’ subsidiaries – Akamon and Diwip, will keep on adding value to the operator’s shareholders.

Akamon Managing Director Oscar Fonrodona noted that all three nominations can be attributed to his company’s excellent performance and growth strategy, with the latter being “based on three pillars” – a rich catalog of product offering, engaging social casino content, and a strategic acquisition model.

The winners in this year’s EGR North America Awards are to be announced at a special ceremony that is slated to be held on April 27 at W San Francisco Hotel in San Francisco, California.
