The United States and Canada will host this week’s major poker tournaments. These will offer millions of dollars in prize money, different other exciting prizes, and tons of poker excitement for both players and fans of the game. Here is more about the poker events scheduled to begin in the week between March 28-April 3.
2016 Liz Flynt Spring Poker Classic
The Liz Flynt Spring Poker Classic festival will be held at Hustler Casino in Gardena, California from March 31 to April 27. There will be 19 different events included in its schedule, with some of those featuring guaranteed prize pools of up to $500,000.
The festival will, in fact, kick off with a four-day $250 No-Limit Hold’em event with a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool. The Main Event is scheduled for April 14. It will be a six-day one and will feature ten starting flights. Everyone interested will have to pay a buy-in fee of $400. The tournament will offer a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000.
2016 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown (WPT)
One of the most exciting poker festivals this spring will take place at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Hollywood, Florida. Players will have the chance to enter as many of the 30 events featured on the schedule as they want. There will be No-Limit Hold’em and Omaha tournaments as part of this year’s edition of the popular festival.
It is slated to start on March 31 and to run through April 24. The festival will be kicked off with a $350 No-Limit Hold’em tournament, featuring a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000. And this one will not be the only to offer players the exciting opportunity to win a share of a large prize pool. There will be events featuring up to $2 million in guaranteed prize money for entries.
The WPT will arrive at Seminole Hard Rock on April 15. And the WPT Showdown Championship, a six-day tournament with a $3,500 buy-in, will kick off exactly on April 15, offering entries the chance to win a payout from the $2 million guaranteed prize pool.
2015/16 WSOP Circuit – Council Bluffs
The WSOP Circuit will be at Horseshoe Casino & Hotel in Council Bluffs, Iowa from March 31 to April 11. As usual, the Series stop will feature 12 gold ring events as well as several other special tournaments. The four-day $1,675 Main Event is scheduled to begin on April 8.
2016 DeepStacks – Edmonton
Casino Yellowhead in Edmonton, Alberta will play host to the next DeepStacks tournament from April 1-11. Its schedule will include 6 No-Limit Hold’em events and a Pot-Limit Omaha one. The Main Event will be a five-day one and will kick of on April 7. Entries will have to pay a buy-in fee of C$1,100 in order to be able to enter it.
2016 MSPT – Columbus, Minnesota
The Mid-States Poker Tour has already arrived at Running Aces Card Room in Columbus, Minnesota, where the $1,100 Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $200,000 is scheduled to take place from April 1-3. It will feature two starting flights in two separate days and one more day of play.
