Indiana Posts Increase in March Casino Revenue

The Indiana Gaming Commission, known to be the state gambling regulator, posted information about the revenue generated by the state’s 13 gambling venues in March. Overall revenue totaled $199 million last month, up from the $195 million reported for March 2015.

Of all 13 gambling properties around Indiana, as many as 10 posted increases in proceeds from gambling operations.

Overall adjusted gross revenue at Ameristar amounted to $21.8 million in March as compared to a total of $20 million posted for the same month a year ago. Last month, the casino featured as many as 58 table games and 1,712 slot machines. Table games win totaled $4.7 million and slot win stood at $16.9 million.

Belterra generated $8.3 million compared to $9.7 million in March 2015. The casino operated 46 table games and 1,134 slot machines. It generated $985,915 in table win and $7.7 million in slot win.

Blue Chip Casino posted revenue of $14.4 million in March, almost just as much as it generated in the same month of 2015. Table win from the casino totaled $1.7 million. As for slot win, it amounted to $12.8 million in March. The venue featured 52 table games and 1,759 slot machines.

Revenue at French Lick amounted to $6.6 million compared to $6.3 million in March 2015. Last month, the casino offered 37 table games and 971 slot machines. Table win amounted to $909,143 and slot win totaled $6.4 million.

Hollywood Casino reported adjusted gross revenue of $16.1 million. Revenue at the venue remained relatively flat as compared to the figure posted for the same month a year ago. In March, the casino operated 79 table games, with table win from those totaling $2.3 million, and 1,773 slot machines. Slot win amounted to $13.8 million last month.

Revenue at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino dropped slightly from $18.804 million in March 2015 to $18.771 million in March 2016. Last month, the venue featured 1,908 slot machines, with slot win from those amounting to $18.76 million.

Horseshoe Hammond was the top performer in terms of revenue. It generated $38.8 million last month. However, it posted a drop in revenue as the venue generated a total of $41.5 million in the same month of 2015. Last month, the casino operated 153 table games and 2,850 slot machines. Table win totaled $10.8 million and slot win amounted to $27.8 million.

Horseshoe Southern Indiana generated $22.1 million last month, up from $17.1 million in March 2015. The gambling venue operated 102 table games and those generated $4.8 million in table win. Slot win amounted to $17.7 million. There were 1,652 slot machines at the casino’s premises in March.

Indiana Grand Racing & Casino posted adjusted gross revenue of $22 million compared to the $22.5 million generated in March 2015. Last month, the venue offered players 2,088 slot machines. Slot win from those amounted to $23.7 million.

Majestic Star reported the amount of $8.6 million, up from the $8.5 million posted for the same month a year ago. The casino featured 53 table games and win from those totaled almost $2 million. All 876 slot machines featured at the venue in March generated slot win of $6.1 million.

Majestic Star II also posted a slight increase in March revenue. It amounted to $6.3 million compared to $6.2 million in March 2015. Last month, the casino had 21 table games and 837 slot machines at its premises. Table win totaled $161,684 and slot win amounted to $6.1 million.

Revenue at Rising Star totaled $4.1 million in March, up from $3.8 million in the same month of 2015. The casino had 29 table games and 951 slot machines last month. Table games generated win of $639,481 and slot win amounted to $3.9 million.

Tropicana posted March revenue of $10.9 million compared to the amount of $10 million generated during the same month a year ago. The gambling venue featured 40 table games and 995 slot machines last month. Table win amounted to $2.1 million and slot win totaled $9.2 million.
