32Red Announces Revenue Increase and Leeds United FC Sponsorship

Online gambling operator 32Red Plc posted today update on its financial performance during the first 19 weeks of the year to May 11, 2016 and announced an important three-year sponsorship agreement with Leeds United Football Club.

During the weeks to May 11, the gaming group’s like-for-like revenue increased 39% as compared to the figures posted for the same period of the previous year. Including contribution from recently acquired online gaming brand Roxy Palace, net gaming revenue was up 71% year-on-year. The operator’s Board said in today’s trading update statement that it is content with the strong momentum and is confident that 32Red will deliver on its expectations for the current year.

Apart from information about its financial performance over the first 19 weeks of 2016, the company also announced that it has penned a sponsorship agreement with English football club Leeds United FC. Under the three-year deal, starting in the upcoming football season, 32Red will be provided with shirt sponsorship and brand visibility on Elland Road stadium. In addition, the gambling operator will be able to reach the football club’s domestic and international fan base. The 32Red brand will also be visible across Leeds United’s media and online platforms.

Following the announcement about the sponsorship, 32Red CEO Ed Ware said that they are really happy with the opportunity to be working with the football club, due to its long history and “amazing and passionate” fan base. Mr. Ware further noted that his company has formerly had several extremely successful sponsorship agreements with other football clubs.

Paul Bell, Executive Director of Leeds United, commented that they are pleased to announce the three-year sponsorship with the popular online gambling operator, which is known to have sponsored several high profile football clubs over the years. Being a “modern and forward-thinking gaming brand” with former sponsorship experience, Mr. Bell said that 32Red is a perfect addition to their commercial partners program.

Both officials noted that they believe their joint work will result in both the gambling operator and the football club reaping numerous benefits from the sponsorship agreement over the next three years.
