After topping the field of a No-Limit Hold’em event during the EPT Season 12 Grand Final and finishing 29th in a High Roller tournament, with that one, too, part of the grand European poker festival, Russian poker pro Vladimir Troyanovskiy climbed in the GPI leaderboard. The player is taking 27th place after the ranking’s most recent update with a total of 3,256.04 points.
Generally speaking, the Global Poker League calculates each player’s score based on their best results over six six-month periods or the past 36 months, to be more precise.
Troyanovskiy is currently one of the most popular and profitable Russian poker players. At present, he ranks 5th in his country’s all-time money list with Igor Kurganov being the one to be taking the top position with live tournament winnings of more than $11 million. As for Troyanovskiy, he has collected a total of $4,524,601 for cashing in 79 different events since the beginning of his career.
Most recently, the player won the EPT Season 12 Grand Final €10,200 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo 6-Max event for the lion’s share of the prize pool, amounting to €194,730, and 445.04 points. During the EPT Grand Final, Troyanovskiy also finished 29th in the €25,750 High Roller, taking home the amount of €49,800 and adding 248.75 GPI points to his score.
Earlier this year, the professional poker player finished runner-up to Steve O’Dwyer in the GipsyTeam Live Poker Festival $4,000 High Roller. His share of the prize pool totaled $35,600 and he also scooped 219.64 points.
In January, the Russian took 5th place in the 2016 PCA $5,300 Main Event. He received $207,940 for his deep run into the tournament and added 418.05 points to his score. A number of in-the-money finishes over the past several years, mainly at EPT tournaments, have also contributed to the player’s overall GPI score.
Overall, it could be said that Troyanovskiy is among the players to be seen at the tables of most EPT events to be taking place throughout each season. However, his appearance on the live circuit has not been limited only to participation in events on the schedule of Europe’s most popular poker series. Since the beginning of his career, he has cashed in a number of other prestigious events.
