It is not a surprise that the 47th Annual WSOP, currently running at Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, is gathering the most attention from players and fans of poker. However, this does not mean that there are no other noteworthy tournaments to be kicking off in the week between June 13-19. Here are some of the biggest ones and a little more details about them.
2016 Deepstacks Challenge
Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa will be home to a Deepstacks Challenge poker festival from June 13-25. There will be 13 tournaments included in its schedule, with all of them being No-Limit Hold’em single-day ones. The events will feature guaranteed prize pools of between $15,000 and $50,000.
2016 PokerStars Marbella Festival
Two of Europe’s most popular poker series will join forces for a thrilling summer festival in Marbella, Spain. The next legs of the UK and Ireland Poker Tour and the Estrellas Poker Tour will take place together on June 14-19 at Casino Marbella. Players from across UK, Ireland, and Spain, as well as from the rest of Europe and the world, will be offered unforgettable poker experience and the chance to win some money while playing their favorite game.
The festival’s schedule features a total of 14 different events, with the €1,100 PokerStars Marbella Main Event being the one that will certainly draw the biggest attention. The event is slated to start on June 15 and will run through June 19.
2016 APT Cambodia
Cambodia and Queenco Casino & Hotel in Sihanoukvile will be the next stop to the Asian Poker Tour. One of Asia’s most popular poker series will be in Cambodia from June 15-23, featuring as many as 19 different events. Apart from the traditional poker variants, such as No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha, the festival will also feature less common ones, with OFC Pineapple one being among those. The latter format has been gathering quite a lot of popularity in Asia in recent years.
The five-day $1,100 Main Event will start on June 18.
CPPT IV bestbet Jacksonville
The Card Player Poker Tour is set to go to bestbet Jacksonville, which has long been one of the most popular poker venues in Florida. The tournament will be running from June 16-27 and will feature 12 events. The $1,100 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $200,000 is scheduled for June 24-27.
Aria High Roller LXIV
For some time now, Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas has been organizing $25,000 high roller tournaments, which have enjoyed quite a lot of popularity so far. The latest of these events is to take place on June 17.
