News

Canadian gambling giant Amaya Inc. and its subsidiary the Rational Group announced today that the BetStars sports betting brand has expanded its reach across regulated markets with the recent launch of a .fr website. French gambling customers are now able to place their bets on several sports on the beta version of the sportsbook’s website. It is also important to note that they can wager on both desktop and mobile.

The beta version of BetStars’ .fr website offers as many as seven of the world’s most popular sports. More sports are expected to be added in the months to come so as for the range to be increased. Thus, French bettors will have the chance to place bets on a wide variety of sports betting markets. In-play options will also be among those available to local customers.

PokerStars has also said that French players will benefit from a single-wallet solution for both sports betting and poker. BetStars’ launch in France comes after more than successful introduction of the product back in January. What is more, a .it website went live in May and has already proved to be quite popular among Italian betting customers.

Commenting on BetStars being rolled out in another regulated market, Eric Hollreiser, Amaya Vice President of Corporate Communications, said that this means French gambling customers are now provided with “safe, secure, and convenient” sports betting hub. The official further noted that as they introduce their product offering in a number of different markets, they can witness a strong crossover between poker players and bettors.

As mentioned above, BetStars is a relatively new sports betting brand, owned by the Rational Group, known to also be the operator of the world’s biggest poker room – PokerStars. The sportsbook gives players from around the world the chance to bet on a number of sports and to take advantage of diverse betting options.

Spin & Bet has been the most popular features to be launched as part of the sports betting product. It offers multiplied winnings and has been launched right ahead of the UEFA European Championship, giving gambling customers the opportunity to bet on all football markets.
