
Generally speaking, the Class II licenses cover the production and distribution of software for the gambling industry and the operation of platforms for game management as well as of hosting facilities.
Under the licenses, a number of international and Romanian gambling operators will be able to go live in the country with Microgaming’s Quickfire platform. The said platform features hundreds of online casino games for both desktop and hand-held devices. In addition to this, it has been designed with the intention to be rapidly and seamlessly integrated and deployed.
Prima Networks will also be able to use the licenses it has been granted in order to provide poker and fully hosted casino products. The company has been established with the aim of delivering proprietary Microgaming content to regulated markets and to assist gambling operators introducing their services to these markets. Prima Networks provides its clients with services and products help gambling companies make sure they operate in full compliance with local regulations.
With Prima Networks’ assistance Microgaming proprietary software has gone live in over 12 regulated markets within Europe, with Spain, Belgium, Denmark, and Italy being few of those.
Commenting on the latest announcement, Prima Networks Director Loraine Schoevers said that they are delighted to have been granted Class II licenses by the Romanian gambling regulator and that the local market will be particularly important for them as it is known for its appeal to both operators and gaming content suppliers. Ms. Schoevers also pointed out that they will make sure that the services and software solutions their provide to their clients would fully comply with the country’s gambling regulations.
It was earlier this month when Prima Networks signed a letter of intent to become the primary provider of casino games and poker options of Nederlandse Staatsloterij /De Lotto, the newly merged state-run Dutch gambling regulator. Such gambling options will go live in the country once regulations come into effect.
