In addition, Mr. Ferreira has previous experience in start-up gaming companies as well as in the development and acquisition segments of the gambling industry.

Commenting on the recent appointment, Merkur Gaming Americas CEO Charles Hiten said that Merkur Gaming Mexico is a particularly important part of his company’s development and further growth in Latin America. Mr. Hiten also noted that being a Tier One gaming company Merkur Gaming Mexico deserves to be led by a top-class professional with proven success record. By appointing Mr. Ferreira to the General Manager role, they have brought just the right person on board, the Chief Executive added.

On him joining Merkur Gaming Mexico, Mr. Ferreira himself commented that he is pleased and honored to be given the opportunity to be leading an already exceptional team of professionals. The official also pointed out that it will be his main goal to build on Merkur Gaming Mexico’s reputation and to further establish the company as the leader in the Latin American gambling sector now that “new and more effective legislation” is being prepared.

Mr. Ferreira is the co-founder of a Mexican gaming association that advocates for the implementation of more effective gambling regulations and promotes the benefits that may arise from the gambling industry for tourism, the wider entertainment industry, and the creation of much-needed jobs. Merkur Gaming Mexico’s new General Manager is also known to be an active member of Brazil’s gaming association.
