Pragmatic Play Granted Class 4 License by Malta Gaming Authority

News

B2B provider of online casino games across multiple channels Pragmatic Play Ltd. announced that it has been granted a Class 4 License by the Malta Gaming Authority. The company pointed out that the latest announcement was another important milestone towards achieving its main goal – to turn into a leading supplier of online gaming content.

Generally speaking, the Malta Gaming Authority provides four types of licenses, with the Class 4 one being the highest ranking. The said license would provide Pragmatic Play with the authority needed to handle games licensing procedures for its business clients as well as to host and manage a number of online gambling operators.

Pragmatic Play also noted that with the Class 4 License it would now be able to attract and serve more business partners and to effectively support the growing demand for its product offering.

Pragmatic Play’s portfolio currently includes more than 150 gaming titles developed via HTML5 and Flash Technology. The games are available across desktop and mobile; and gambling customers from 78 countries have access to them.

The gaming supplier said that it would now focus its attention on meeting the specific needs of their Malta-based clients and to provide them with unique gaming experience.

Malta has gradually developed into one of the leading online gaming licensing jurisdictions for many reasons. The most obvious one is the relatively low fees and subsequent taxes on income. But apart from this, the country has become a highly preferred licensing destination among both suppliers and operators due to the clear focus on the use of high-end technology with the aim of enhancing player experience and interactivity. In addition, Malta has been working on the implementation of stricter regulations for a more secure and effectively managed industry.

It has also recently been announced that Pragmatic Play has partnered with London-based provider of online gaming services iSoftBet. Under the terms of their agreement, iSoftBet would supply its new partner with a selection of its most popular online casino titles, thus enhancing further Pragmatic Play’s existing offering.

iSoftBet has recently become one of the first gaming providers to receive a Romanian license. The company also has experience in a number of other regulated markets, including Spain and the UK.
