After a second-place finish in the $570 No-Limit Hold’em/Pot-Limit Omaha, New York City-based player Bradley Young took down the $360 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo, with both events being part of the 2016 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open. Young collected $7,194 for his victory after a four-way deal with the other three opponents left at the final table.

Although the player cut his teeth on cash games at underground clubs around New York, he now prefers playing in tournaments. He told interviewers that he likes travelling to Florida and taking part in Seminole Hard Rock events from time to time.

Young does not have much experience in the limit Omaha format. However, the player said that his second-place finish in the mixed event helped him a lot and he felt much more comfortable while playing in the $360 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo.

The tournament attracted a field of 124 entries, who generated $37,200 in prize money. The top 15 players received a share of the money, with payouts starting from $595.

At the time the unofficial ten-handed final table was set, Young was among the big stacks. Over the course of play, the player accumulated an even bigger stack and was the chip leader at the point when there were only four players left at the table.

One of the four survivors brought up the split possibility and after discussing the payouts, Young was declared the tournament’s champion. He took the largest portion of the remainder of the prize pool and the tournament trophy, of course.

George Korsavin and Benjamin Warren took 2nd and 3rd places, respectively, each collecting a payout of $6,192. Marc Levy finished 4th, taking home the amount of $5,192. David McClure scooped $2,492 of the prize pool for taking 5th place.

John Holley secured a $1,994 payout for his sixth-place finish. Kenneth Corl took 7th place, good for $1,659. Michael Newman finished 8th for $1,328. Brandon Angeloff was paid $997 for his 9th place in the tournament. Ross Ruby rounded out the unofficial ten-handed final table for a $725 share of the entire prize pool.

This year’s edition of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open will be running through August 16. Its highlight event – the $5 million guaranteed Championship is set to kick off on August 13. The name of the winner is expected to become clear on August 16.
