Poker Tournaments to Start between August 15-21

Season 13 of the European Poker Tour is slated to kick off this week in Barcelona. But apart from the highly anticipated return of Europe’s biggest poker tour, there will be other noteworthy poker events to begin in the week between August 15-21. More information about the EPT Season 13’s first stop and the rest of this week’s major tournaments could be found in the next few paragraphs.

Bavaria Cup German Championship of Poker – Summer Edition

King’s Casino in Rozvadov, the Czech Republic has become home to Europe’s biggest poker room. This is why it is not a surprise that more and more prestigious tournaments have been taking place at the gambling venue. The Summer Edition of the Bavaria Cup German Championship of Poker is one such major event to be hosted by the casino and its card room.

The poker festival kicks off today and will run through August 22. Its schedule features 12 different events, with those being No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha ones. The actual Bavaria Cup tournament with a buy-in fee of €99 will be the opening event. It will feature four starting flights, played over four days, and a final day, which is set to be played on August 19. The tournament offers entries the chance to win their share of a guaranteed €100,000 prize pool.

The marquee event – the €888 No-Limit Hold’em German Championship of Poker will take place from August 19-22. It will feature a guaranteed prize pool of €200,000.

2016 Borgata Summer Heater

Moving far west, the 2016 Borgata Summer Heater will be the next exciting tournament set to kick off this week. It, too, is slated to begin today and as its name suggests, Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa will be the host venue. The tournament is a seven-day No-Limit Hold’em Big Stack one. Paying a buy-in fee of $180, players will get the chance to win a portion of a guaranteed prize pool of $200,000.

EPT Season 13/Estrellas Poker Tour – Barcelona

The magnificent city of Barcelona will once again be the starting point of the European Poker Tour’s new season. Season 13 of Europe’s largest and most prestigious poker tour will start on August 16. It has once again joined forces with Estrellas Poker Tour, which is one of Spain’s most popular poker series, and will take place at Casino Barcelona.

The poker festival, which will most certainly provide both players and fans of the game with immense thrill, will feature 45 different events. Its schedule includes popular formats like Texas Hold’em and Omaha, as well as mixed poker games.

The €5,300 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event will run from August 22 through August 28, featuring two starting flights and five more days of play.

Card Player Poker Tour IV – World Cup of Cards

Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake, Quebec, Canada will play host to the CPPT IV – World Cup of Cards. The poker festival will take place at the popular Canadian poker room from August 18-September 14.

Players will be able to enter as many of the 38 events to be featured as they can. The festival’s schedule includes No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha as well as Crazy Pineapple events (a format that has been gathering quite a lot of popularity lately). The C$1,650 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $400,000 is slated for September 10.

2016/17 WSOP Circuit – Foxwoods

The WSOP Circuit will next travel to Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut for the next stop of this season’s schedule. As usual, there will be twelve gold ring events to take place within the stop, with those being mostly No-Limit Hold’em ones.

Foxwoods will play host to the Circuit series from August 18 to August 29. The four-day $1,675 Main Event will kick off on August 26 and will feature a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000.
