This week promises to be quite exciting when it comes to upcoming poker tournaments. Two UK festivals at major local casinos, the German Poker Days in Europe’s new favorite poker room – King’s Casino in Rozvadov, and several nice poker-related events at popular US poker destinations – this is the selection of the most noteworthy tournaments to be kicking off in the week between August 29-September 4.
UKIPT Super Series
Every UK and Ireland Poker Tour stop offers a plethora of opportunities for players to win their share of nice prize pools. Unlike a traditional UKIPT stop, however, a Super Series one usually offers potential entries the chance to do that by entering several low buy-in tournaments.
The time for the latest Super Series poker festival has come. It will take place from August 31 to September 4 at the PokerStars LIVE poker room at The Hippodrome Casino in London. There will be six regular tournaments on the schedule and several satellite ones that promise seats into the Main Event.
As for the actual UKIPT Super Series £550 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event, it will run from September 1 through September 4. Organizers have prepared another exciting opportunity for those who get eliminated in the Main Event. They will be able to enter the £275 Second Chance Main Event, which will take place on September 3-4 and will offer a single re-entry option.
German Poker Days Festival
King’s Casino in Rozvadov, the Czech Republic has gradually gained popularity as being home to Europe’s largest poker room. This is why it is no surprise to anyone these days that the gambling venue is a preferred host to some of the continent’s major tournaments.
King’s Casino will welcome players for this year’s German Poker Days Festival from September 1-4. The festival will feature seven regular events and multiple satellites to the Main Event. Everyone interested will be able to enter No-Limit Hold’em and Omaha tournaments.
The German Poker Days €175 Main Event is slated for September 1-4. The relatively low buy-in and the guaranteed prize pool of €100,000 will certainly make the tournament particularly attractive to players from around Europe and the rest of the world.
2016 Commerce Poker Series
A thrilling poker festival is about to kick off at Commerce Casino in Commerce, California. The gambling venue will not play host to a major poker event for the first time. Over the years, it has become a preferred destination among players from the region and the rest of the USA. Between September 1-18, Commerce Casino will be home to the latest edition of the Commerce Poker Series.
The festival will feature 21 different events, including No-Limit Hold’em and Omaha ones, as well as mixed formats like H.O.R.S.E. It is also important to note that some of the tournaments will feature guaranteed prize pools of between $25,000 and $500,000.
The Main Event is to take place on September 16-18. The major $1,650 buy-in tournament will feature two starting flights played in two days and a final day of action. It is actually the Main Event that offers the guaranteed half-a-million prize pool.
2016 WPTDeepStacks – Immokalee
The WPTDeepStacks is next set to go to Immokalee, Florida. The local Seminole Casino Hotel will welcome the popular poker series for an exciting festival to run from September 2-11. Players will be able to enter nine different events, with those being No-Limit Hold’em and Omaha ones. Quite understandably, the three-day $1,100 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event is expected to attract the most attention. The tournament is slated to kick off on September 9. Players who make it through the two starting flights and the final day of play will be offered the chance to win a portion of a guaranteed prize pool of $200,000.
2016 GUKPT – Edinburgh
The beautiful Scottish capital has been listed as the sixth leg of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour’s current season. Grosvenor Casino Maybury will be the host venue to the poker festival over the period between September 4-11. There will be thirteen separate events to be featured as part of its schedule and the £550 Main Event is certainly the most highly anticipated one, particularly given the fact that it offers a guaranteed prize pool of £100,000. The tournament will be running from September 8 through September 11.
