Caesars to Launch Skill-Based Games at Land-Based Casinos

News

Major casino operator Caesars Entertainment Corp. announced that under a multi-year agreement with developer of skill-based casino content and related products Gamblit Gaming, its casinos will be the first to feature the game development studio’s skill-based gaming positions.

Caesars said in a Wednesday statement that it would locate Gamblit Gaming’s Tristation and Model G gaming positions to its Southern California properties. More positions are to be installed across the operator’s casinos around Nevada, provided that it receives the necessary regulatory approval. Gamblit Gaming products will also be rolled out across other markets in the months to come.

Harrah’s Rincon will be the first property to have the skill-based gaming positions installed at its premises. Each of the said positions will feature a plethora of themes and numerous skill-based games, all aimed at attracting the younger generation of casino players.

According to multiple recent studies, millenials are not particularly attracted to traditional table games and slot machines at brick-and-mortar casinos. However, it is instrumental for gambling venues to attract that particular demographic as it would not be long before it replaces Baby Boomers and Generation X as the primary casino customers.

Gamblified versions of popular titles like Catapult King and INTO THE DEAD will be among those to be launched across Caesars’ Southern California properties. As mentioned above, the casino operator would install Gamblit Gaming positions across its Nevada-based casinos, as well, including the Las Vegas ones. Following a field trial, Caesars expects to deploy around 125 devices in Nevada over the next several months. What is more, the casino operator has expressed interest in adding 100 positions across different other markets it operates in in the first months of 2017.

Commenting on the multi-year agreement with the game development studio, Caesars CEO and President Mark Frissora said that it has come as part of his company’s strategy to innovate its offering and create the “Casino of the Future.” The executive further added that they plan to make skill-based games an indispensable part of their casino floors.

Gamblit Gaming CEO Eric Meyerhofer commented that they are excited to be working with Caesars as the operator is one that shares their vision of offering customers an entirely new type of gambling experience. Darion Lowenstein, Chief Marketing Officer at the game development studio, said that they are looking forward to bringing fresh, skill-based content to Caesars’ casinos across the US, thus providing its players with engaging wagering gameplay.
