IGT and the Florida Lottery Extend Partnership

News

Provider of gaming and lottery products and services International Game Technology PLC (IGT) announced that it has extended its long-standing partnership with the Florida Lottery through its subsidiary IGT Global Solutions Corporation.

Under the terms of a recently secured contract, IGT will provide the state’s lottery organization with its internationally recognized lottery services and solutions for an initial ten-year period. The agreement has been signed after the provider had won a highly competitive procurement.

The Florida Lottery first opted for IGT’s products back in 2005. Under its most recent contract with the major supplier, the lottery organization will make use of IGT’s offering for the next ten years with the right to extend the partnership three times and for three-year periods. It was announced that the Florida Lottery has actually exercised the first extension option immediately, which means that the provider will exclusively offer lottery solutions and services for the benefit of customers based in the state for the next 13 years.

With the agreement being in effect, the Florida Lottery will see its current retailer terminal base replaced with more innovative offering. The Altura Flex, known to be among IGT’s latest releases, will contribute for the better interaction between lottery retailers and their customers.

Players will also be informed about promotions, advertisements, and other marketing content directly at lottery point-of-sales through the IGT Aurora MultiMedia product. Draw-based and instant games will also be offered through the Gemini self-service vending machine. The device will feature an Aurora MultiMedia display for better experience.

In order for Florida-based players to be able to check quickly and safely whether they have won or not, the state lottery organization will be able to deploy the Ticket-Scan Plus ticket checkers, with those being self-service ones. More products and services that are aimed to support and improve lottery operations will be provided by IGT.

Of their partnership with the Florida Lottery, IGT Senior Vice President, North America Lottery Jay Gendron said that they have worked closely together to secure the lottery’s continued growth. With the extended relationship, they will be able to build on what has been achieved so far so as to further benefit state education causes and on the lottery organization’s reputation as one of the most widely recognized not only in the US but also on a global scale.
