This will be Holland Casino’s second gambling venue to be located in Amsterdam. Given the fact that the operator has been authorized to manage a fixed number of gaming facilities, it said that it would close its Schiphol Airport branch so as to be able to open the Ven casino.
Commenting on the announcement, Holland Casino CEO Erwin van Lambaart said that their new casino will be located in a top location that can be easily reached by both Amsterdam residents and guests of the city. The executive also added that given the fact that their Schiphol facility has not been a profitable one, it being replaced with a venue that will be part of such a large-scale project is a significant step forward for the company’s further development.
The casino operator promised that its new venue will be its most innovative one, designed in a manner that will match the all-contemporary concept behind the whole Ven complex. Apart from the traditional casino offering, the new Holland Casino facility will also feature live shows and other entertainment options.
Ven Amsterdam is an ambitious and futuristic concept aimed at providing a new type of accommodation, entertainment, convention, and gambling experience to both those who reside in the Dutch capital and to its guests. The property is located on the site of the old KPN headquarters in Sloterdijk, known to be part of the Amsterdam-West stadsdeel, and is expected to be completed next year, as already mentioned above.
The 42,000-square-meter complex will feature Park Inn by Radisson Hotels, the popular chain’s new flagship convention facility; B-aparthotels Amsterdam, thus providing guests with 50 fully-serviced apartments; convention space; numerous dining options; nightclubs; welfare and entertainment facilities, and many more.
Popular Canadian-American designer Karim Rashid is the mastermind behind Ven Amsterdam’s design. Given Rashid’s reputation of a true visionary, the futuristic design of the soon-to-be-opened complex comes as no surprise.
