This year’s BAC was held at Messe Berlin on October 20-23. Once again, it took place together with the Financial Partners Expo, with the latter being known as the largest dedicated expo for introducing brokers and affiliates within the financial sector.
With the rapid growth of the iGaming affiliate business and its indisputable importance for the overall growth of the global gambling industry, events like the Berlin, London, and Amsterdam Affiliate Conferences have become a necessity. Attendance numbers have been growing constantly over the past several years, which comes as a solid proof to the afore statement.
The Berlin Affiliate Conference was first held in 2015. Prior to that, the BAC abbreviation stood for the Barcelona Affiliate Conference. As it could be seen from the figure posted by iGB Affiliate earlier today, the change of host city has not impacted attendance negatively. Quite the contrary, the German capital has proved quite popular with industry personalities.
As usual, BAC featured an exhibition sector, which allowed gambling operators and suppliers to introduce their latest products and attendees to meet existing and potential business partners face-to-face, and a conference one, where speakers and audience interacted, discussing latest industry trends, innovations, and hot topics.
Commenting on the latest BAC edition, iGaming Business Head of Operations Shona ODonnell said that the conference proved to be “a record-breaking and resounding success.” Ms. ODonnell also hinted that exciting announcements regarding the upcoming London Affiliate Conference are to be made in the weeks to come.
LAC 2017 is scheduled to take place on February 9-12 and is expected to be the biggest ever iGB Affiliate event. The growing demand has necessitated a change of host venue and from 2017 on, the LAC will be taking place at ExCeL London, the exhibition center known to be home to the ICE Totally Gaming show. More than 5,000 delegates from different parts of the world are anticipated to take part in the upcoming LAC event, which is 10% more than the 4,555 who attended it this February and ten times more than the 600 delegates who were seen at the inaugural affiliate conference in 2007.
