The partypoker WPT UK £2,200 Main Event is entering its concluding stage as the official six-handed final table is set to be played today at 2 pm local time at Dusk Till Dawn Casino Nottingham. Spaniard Nabil Cardoso is leading the final six with 4,965,000 in chips.
Cardoso finished 20th in last year’s edition of the same tournament, collecting £9,000 for his efforts. If the player maintains his stack and the chip lead throughout Day 4 of the tournament, he will have an excellent chance to win it this year. In September, the player emerged victorious in the PMU.fr WPT National Marrakech High Roller for MAD650,000 ($66,873).
The partypoker WPT UK £2,200 Main Event commenced on November 2 with two starting flights played over two separate days. As many as 522 entries took part in the event. The tournament features a guaranteed prize pool of £1 million and 54 prizes up for grabs. The bubble burst on Day 3 of the event, with Robin Fisher becoming the bubble boy.
Players such as Kuljinder Sidhu, Ben Winsor, who won the partypoker WPT500 at Dusk Till Dawn a few days ago, and partypoker brand ambassadors Patrick Leonard and Tony Dunst were among those to make it to the money but to miss out on the official final table.
Each of the six finalists is secured with a minimum payout of £40,000. The winner will take home the amount of £200,000, including a $15,000 seat into the season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions, and a plethora of other, non-monetary, prizes. Last year, the partypoker WPT UK £2,200 Main Event was won by London-based poker pro Iaron Lightbourne, who, too, scooped a first-place prize of £200,000.

Playground Poker Club will play host to the exciting tournament that will feature a guaranteed prize pool of C$2 million. The event will begin with three starting flights, played over three days, and four more days of No-Limit Hold’em action.
