
Casino revenue (including Trump Taj Mahal) totaled $186.4 million, down 2.7% from the same month of the previous year. Internet gaming continued growing last month to generate revenue of $16.7 million, representing a 29.6% rise from October 2015.
On a year-to-date basis, total gaming revenue amounted to $2.197 million, up 1.4% from the prior-year period. Land-based casino operations contributed $2.036 billion, down 0.5% year-on-year, and online gambling delivered a 32.5% growth to $161.2 million.
Two of Atlantic City’s seven operational casinos posted drops in their monthly revenue for October, with those being Bally’s and Resorts. Revenue at Bally’s decreased 2.9% year-on-year to $16.5 million. Resorts reported casino win of $14.3 million, down 3.5% from October 2015. On the other hand, the gambling venue’s digital division performed more than well, posting a 204.8% jump in revenue to $2.7 million.
Borgata topped Atlantic City’s casino revenue chart for yet another month. The venue generated casino win of $60.5 million in October and internet win of $3.7 million. Total gaming win amounted to $64.2 million.
Caesars posted monthly revenue of $23.5 million, mirroring a 3.5% rise from the same month of the previous year. Caesars Interactive NJ saw revenue go up 5.2% year-on-year to reach $3.1 million in October.
Golden Nugget posted the biggest revenue increase of 16.7% for October 2016. Overall gaming win at the casino amounted to $20.6 million. Land-based operations contributed $16.5 million and online gaming generated the amount of $4.1 million.
Harrah’s reported a slight 0.8% rise in monthly revenue to $29.3 million. The casino does not offer online gambling options.
Last but not least, Tropicana generated the amount of $28 million in gambling revenue last month, up 13.5% year-on-year. Operations at the brick-and-mortar venue contributed $24.8 million. Online gambling services provided by the casino generated a total of $3.1 million inc October.
Last month, Atlantic City’s casinos contributed the amount of $16 million in tax revenue to the state. Land-based casino operations are taxed at 8% on gross gaming revenue. Internet gaming is taxed at a 15% rate on gross gaming revenue.
