NYX Gaming Extends UK Footprint with Rank Group Casino Content Deal

News

Developer and provider of online gambling content NYX Gaming Group announced that a selection of its casino titles has gone live with UK gambling operator The Rank Group.

Under a previously signed agreement, NYX Gaming would deliver gaming content developed by its in-house NextGen Gaming studio via the Open Gaming System (OGS). As already mentioned, first titles have already been rolled out. Here it is also important to note that the OGS platform hosts titles developed by third-party gaming studios and that NYX Gaming will supply the UK operator with some of them, too.

The latest partnership represents an extension of the Canada-listed provider’s presence into the highly popular and competitive UK gambling market.

To comment on the announcement, NYX Gaming Commercial Director David Johnson said that following the quick integration of the OGS platform, his company is now able to boost Rank’s casino offering with in-house produced gaming content as well as products by recognized developers NYX Gaming has been representing.

Grosvenor Casinos Director of Digital Operations Adam Joseph said that the deal marks a partnership between two leading gambling companies – an operator and a supplier – and that they are looking forward to “provide the widest breadth” of gaming content to be available in the market.

Grosvenor Casinos is known to be The Rank Group’s casino gambling brand. It manages the largest chain of brick-and-mortar casinos around the UK as well as a casino website. Apart from Grosvenor Casinos, the major gambling operator also runs the UK-facing Mecca online and retail bingo brand, and the Spain-facing Enracha bingo brand.

The announcement about NYX Gaming further expanding its presence in the UK came shortly after the company posted its third-quarter results. The supplier’s revenue for the three months ended September 30, 2016 totaled C$54.4 million, up 308.9% from the prior-year period. The revenue jump was attributed to recent acquisition activity, including the purchase of online sportsbook provider OpenBet.

Gross profit amounted to C$49.1 million during the reported three months, up 342.1% year-on-year. Adjusted EBITDA also grew substantially to reach C$14.5 million. The increase was attributed to strong organic growth during the quarter, particularly in the company’s real-money online casino business, as well as to the OpenBet acquisition deal.

NYX Gaming launched its products with eight new clients during the reviewed quarter.
