The organizers of the Berlin Affiliate Conference (BAC) and the Excellence in Gaming expo (EiG) officially confirmed both events are to be again held in the German capital next year, following their success in 2016. The confirmation was released after speculations emerged that the EiG Expo had plans to move to a new location in 2017.
The organizers revealed the EiG expo is to take place October 30 to November 1 the following year and will be held at the same venue, namely the Arena Berlin. BAC will be back onto EiG so the Berlin Affiliate Conference is to be held between November 1 and November 4, with the expo and conference days being November 2 and November 3.
EiG confirmed over 2,000 leading iGaming professionals will participate in the events and will gather in order to meet, interact with each other, and exchange ideas with colleagues.
Being one of the leading gaming industry events, EiG will play host to senior-level representatives of iGaming operators, brick-and-mortar gambling venues, betting shops, lottery operators, regulators and consultants, among others. EiG provides a bespoke platform which facilitates networking and learning for the entire iGaming niche.
Rory Credland, Event Director for EiG, commented the latter brings together important industry decision-makers from a variety of European countries. Credland went on to say that the German capital was the most suitable location to hold the 2017 expo thanks to the city’s central location and its established reputation as an innovation and tech hub in Europe.
Credland concluded by saying at EiG, they are delighted to work in partnership with the team at iGaming Business and ensure the gaming industry can benefit from both events being held in the same city.
Shona ODonnell, Head of Operations at iGaming Business, commented that after the success of the 2016 event, there was no question that BAC would return to Berlin the following year. In Odonnell’s words, both operators and affiliates consider the conference a highlight on the gaming calendar. Odonnell stated there were plans to make next year’s event bigger and better. “With EiG remaining in Berlin, too, we hope that the igaming industry can join us once again for a week in Berlin,” she concluded.
Last year’s conference was marked by a great success. The number of delegates to attend EiG exceeded 2,000. As many as 3,056 delegates attended BAC, including 1,695 affiliates and introducing brokers.
