European Poker Tour Top 5 All-Time Money List

The last European Poker Tour festival was completed mere days ago in Prague, putting an end to an important era in Europe’s and the world’s live tournament poker history. Over the course of its thirteen seasons, the EPT has visited both popular and not-so-popular poker destinations, has gathered poker pros and enthusiasts from all around the globe, and has distributed more than €1 billion in prize money.

The EPT was favored by some of the most prominent poker players due to the wide range of tournament formats and buy-ins it featured. And over the years, certain names were always or almost always present at the EPT tables no matter where the festival was taking place. Getting themselves accustomed to the way the series’ events were played, making themselves comfortable and confident, they understandably accumulated serious amounts of money for their efforts.

In celebration of a tour that has changed significantly the global poker environment and of its most frequent and prolific participants, here are the players who occupy the top 5 positions in the EPT All-Time Money List. Data has been taken from The Hendon Mob.

Steve O’Dwyer

Steve O’Dwyer has made a serious statement about his poker skills over the past several years. And looking at his cash history, it could be said that he had a particular fondness of EPT tournaments. The player has collected the total amount of $9,608,236 (approximately €9,215,650) from different EPT events.

He is a one-time EPT Grand Final Main Event champion. The player won the title back in 2013. He was awarded the amount of €1,224,000 for taking down the Season 9 concluding €10,600 Championship tournament. He has also won several High Roller tournaments over the years, including a €50,000 Super High Roller one in Prague last December.

Ole Schemion

The young German’s overall EPT winnings amount to $6,725,000 (€6,450,221). Over the years, he has cashed at a number of EPT stops and has won several events on the tour’s schedule. Without doubt, his triumph in the EPT Season 12 Grand Final €100,000 Super High Roller this spring was his most memorable EPT achievement. The player scooped a terrific payout of €1,597,800 for his victory.

Mike McDonald

Mike McDonald has also been among the EPT frequenters over the years. He has accumulated EPT winnings of $6,461,551 (€6,197,536) to rank third in the tournament series’ All-Time Money List. The player is a one-time Main Event champion. He scooped his title in 2008 during the EPT Season 4 Dortmund, Germany stop, collecting €933,600 in prize money. It is interesting to note that the player was just 18 years old at the time.

Igor Kurganov

The Russian poker pro has been a constant presence at EPT High Roller final tables over the past several years. He has not won such tournament but his multiple in-the-money finishes and final table appearances secured him with the fourth place in the EPT All-Time Money List with a total of $6,349,727 (€6,090,281) in winnings.

Scott Seiver

US poker pro Scott Seiver completes the Top 5 All-Time Money List with overall earnings of $6,030,039 (€5,783,656). The player has not won Main Events or High Roller tournaments but has cashed in a good number of such events. Here it is interesting to note that Seiver has actually won several Omaha tournaments within the EPT.
