The WSOP Circuit Palm Beach Kennel Club $1,675 Main Event is just several hours away from crowning its latest victor. There are ten players left to contend for the title out of an initial field of 524 entries. Sam Panzica, a familiar WSOP Circuit face, will be leading the ten finalists into the final Day 3 battle.

The player tagged close to 1.7 million in chips last night. He is closely followed by Steven Stout with 1.655 million and Raminder Singh with 1.635 million.

Palm Beach Kennel Club is not an unfamiliar arena for Panzica. In the first place, it is important to note that the player has won four WSOP Circuit gold rings over the course of his career. In the second place, he won one of his pieces back in 2015 at that same gambling venue. He topped the field of a $1,125 buy-in tournament for $41,159 in prize money and the valuable piece of poker jewelry.

Despite his experience in the WSOP Circuit, the player will face quite some competition on the Main Event’s final day. There are several more former gold ring winners looking to add to their collection. There is also a former Main Event winner among the ten contenders.

Peter Vitantonio won the Palm Beach Kennel Club Main Event during the 2015/16 season of the WSOP Circuit tour. If he wins the ongoing Main Event at the same venue, he will not only repeat his deed from a year and a half ago, but will also capture his third-ever gold ring. The player won his second piece days ago for emerging victorious in the $1,125 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em. Vitantonio is set to start Day 3 play as the short stack with 525,000 in chips.

Aside from Panzica and Vitantonio, there are two more former gold ring winners among the final ten – William Kopp and Scot Master. Play is set to resume today at noon local time at the host venue. Players will play 60-minute levels until a winner is determined.

As mentioned above, the Main Event attracted 524 entries. A prize pool of $786,000 was generated creating payouts for the top 62 finishers.

The WSOP Circuit Palm Beach Kennel Club may be coming to an end today, but the next festival on the popular tour’s 2016/17 schedule has already kicked off at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, a venue that has also been home to the annual WSOP festival for some time now.
