The Palazzo Casino Floor Undergoes Multi-Million Renovation

News

The casino floor at The Palazzo integrated resort is set to undergo a $15-million renovation, local media has reported. The multi-purpose complex opened doors in late 2007 and quickly became one of the most popular gambling and entertainment destinations on the legendary Las Vegas Strip.

The Palazzo’s gaming floor occupies 60,000 square feet of space. It features more than 139 table games, including a salon for high-limit play with 20 table games. There are also 1,038 slot machines spread across the casino’s floor. As for the non-gambling options at the gambling section of the resort, there are multiple food and beverage facilities for patrons.

Under the recently announced renovation project, casino operator Las Vegas Sands, known to be the owner of The Palazzo and its neighboring The Venetian, is planning to spend nearly $12 million for new carpeting, for painting the gaming floor’s walls and ceiling, and other related remodeling activities. The casino will also have new stone walkways once the project is completed. Gaming machines at the gaming facilities will be rearranged after being refurbished, it has become clear.

The Palazzo’s casino floor will also see the opening of two new bars. The amount of $1,383,000 is planned to be spent on The Corner Bar, a 1,100-square-foot facility with room for 84 guests. Another bar will undergo planned remodeling that will cost developers the total amount of $1,485,000. More details on the two new facilities are yet to be revealed. However, it is believed that they will leverage on the lounge concept introduced with a number of bars across The Palazzo several years ago.

As mentioned above, the hotel and casino complex is one of the jewels on the Las Vegas Strip. Together with the adjoining The Venetian, they form a larger resort which offers visitors and guests Italian Renaissance luxury and ambiance.

News about The Palazzo remodeling its casino floor come at a time when gambling operator MGM Resorts International is working on a $450-million renovation project of its Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. Work on the property, which will also be rebranded as Park MGM, commenced in 2016. The project is expected to be completed by late 2018.

Park MGM will feature 2,700 luxury hotel rooms. MGM Resorts has previously said that it would build on the previous success of the resort to eventually relaunch it as a property combining in itself European stylistic influences and a number of gaming, entertainment, and dining facilities.

The gambling operator is also planning to introduce the NoMad Hotel experience to the Las Vegas Strip with the construction of a separate property that will offer 292 hotel rooms and suites, a swimming pool, food and beverage, and gambling facilities. NoMad properties have previously been built in New York, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Chicago, and several other cities across the US.
