Ben Bensimhon Leads WSOP International Circuit Rotterdam €1,650 Main Event Final Table

Lifestyle

The WSOP has brought the WSOP International Circuit experience to the hungry for quality poker action Dutch soil. Holland Casino Rotterdam is currently playing host to a classy festival on this season’s schedule of the WSOP Circuit series.

Eyes are now set on the €1,650 Main Event, Day 3 of which was completed on Friday at the host venue. As many as 35 players returned to the poker tables of the popular Rotterdam casino spot and after nearly six full levels of play, there were only nine left – the hopefuls that will clash at the final table in a bid to capture the title and the lion’s share of the prize pool.

Day 3 was one full of important events. Of all 35 hopefuls who were present at the beginning of the day, five left in a quick succession, with Fatima Moreira de Melo being the unfortunate bubble girl. The popular poker pro left the tournament without a payout, but her elimination opened the paid positions. Each of the final thirty players were guaranteed a minimum cash of €2,665.

Day 3’s Chip Leader

It did not take long before the field of 35 hopefuls was reduced to just nine final tablists. The pack of final nine players will be led by Ben Bensimhon from Switzerland. The player bagged and tagged 1.692 million at the end of Day 3 play.

Here it is also important to note that he will start the final table as the only player to have passed the one-million chip mark. It can be said that Bensimhon has secured himself with an excellent starting position, particularly given the fact that Jakob Miegel – the player ranking second in chips – will enter the event’s final day with 964,000 in chips. Miegel was the Day 2 chip leader. Dwayne Sluis will begin final table play third in chips with 881,000.

Here are all the finalists who are set to return to the host venue later today:

Ben Bensimhon – 1.692 million
Jakob Miegel – 964,000
Dwayne Sluis – 881,000
Micha Hoedemaker – 868,000
Bart Lybaert – 804,000
Teun Mulder – 747,000
Lawrence Bayley – 254,000
Paul Gresel – 197,000
