Kindred Goes Live with Scientific Games’ iGaming Technology and Content Platforms in New Jersey

News

A year after announcing its partnership with Scientific Games’ digital gaming division, Kindred Group has gone live with the provider’s Open Gaming System (OGS) and Open Platform System (OPS) online gambling technology and content platforms.

Kindred is now live with the two platforms in the New Jersey online gaming market, news emerged today.

Kindred and Scientific Games’ digital arm SG Digital revealed their partnership in August 2018. Under the terms of the deal, Kindred agreed to deploy SG Digital’s OGS game aggregation technology and OPS player account management platform to serve its customers in New Jersey.

Kindred and SG Digital’s original agreement covers only New Jersey where the content provider already has a license, but the two companies aim to extend their partnership to other states where the operator is authorized or is set to be authorized to provide its services.

Kindred went live in New Jersey this past June. The company was able to enter the state’s online gambling market through a previously announced partnership with Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City.

After successfully obtaining a Casino Service Industry Enterprise License from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, the major online gambling operator was able to launch its flagship Unibet brand in the state.

To mark its official entry into the US online gaming space, Kindred also updated the logo of its Unibet brand, saying that the new look better caters “for today’s mobile first environment with high legibility and small digital spaces.”

Truly Next Level Experiences

Of their expansion in New Jersey through Kindred, SG Digital SVP Casino and Platforms Dylan Stanley said that they have worked tirelessly to bring “the world’s best content and platform technology to one of the industry’s biggest names, fueling their success in both established markets and burgeoning spaces like New Jersey.”

Mr. Stanley added that Kindred’s players in New Jersey are poised to reap the benefits of “truly next level experiences from top-tier content, fresh in-game mechanics, and immersive features.”

Kindred Group SVP USA Manuel Stan commented that partnering Scientific Games to go live with its content and back-end functionality in New Jersey was a “big win” for the operator “as US iGaming gains traction.”

Kindred has previously revealed that its US expansion plans are not limited to New Jersey and online gaming. The company has said that it would also tap into New Jersey’s sports betting market, with the launch of its wagering product expected to happen “in the near future.”

Kindred announced late last year that it had extended its existing partnership with sports gambling platform provider Kambi to jointly venture into New Jersey’s betting market.

The major online gambling operator is also slated to enter Pennsylvania’s recently opened online gaming market. Kindred will be able to operate in the Keystone State through a previously announced partnership with Mohegan Sun Pocono in Plains Township, a property owned by Connecticut’s Mohegan Tribe.
