Evolution Gaming has secured another high-profile client that has opted for its Live Casino range to roll it out across multiple brands and markets, the Swedish Live Casino provider said in a press release from earlier today.
Under a recently inked deal between Evolution and Greentube Alderney Limited, the latter would gain access to the supplier’s full range of Live Casino products. Greentube Alderney Limited is a division of Novomatic Interactive, which is a subsidiary of Austrian gambling giant Novomatic.
The agreement between the two companies will see Greentube roll out Evolution’s products across several of its B2C brands and in a number of regulated markets, including Greentube’s Admiral Casino brand in the UK and its Star Vegas brand in Spain and Italy.
The deal with Greentube follows another recent agreement signed by Evolution that would help the provider further expand and cement itself in the Italian gambling market. Last month, the supplier of Live Casino products revealed that it has teamed up with Italian operator SKS365 Group to roll its range with the Planetwin365 brand.
Of their deal with the Swedish Live Casino provider, Richard Poole, UK B2C Brands at Greentube UK, said that that they are delighted to sign with Evolution and that with last year’s launch of their Admiral Casino in the UK, “launching a Live Casino is an important next step for the brand and our growth plans.”
Mr. Poole added that “Live Casino is now a prerequisite for a digital casino and Evolution Gaming come with a fantastic pedigree and a market-leading product.”
Expansion Amid Workers Unrest
Of their latest content supply deal, Evolution’s Chief Commercial Officer, Sebastian Johannisson, said that they are delighted to announce their latest agreement and that they are confident their range of Live Casino games and live game shows would be “the perfect addition to Greentube’s content portfolio.”
While Evolution has been busy to expand its clients network, the company has also had some rough time at one of its live studios. It emerged over the weekend that workers at Evolution’s Tbilisi Live Casino studio have gone on strike, demanding better pay and improved working conditions.
Evolution opened its studio in the capital of Georgia last year. The company currently employs around 1,500 people there, and more than 400 of them are reportedly involved in protests that first started at the end of July and are expected to resume later this month.
Most of the protesters are employed as shufflers at the studio, but their effort is also supported by a number of dealers. Their main demands are higher salaries and better working conditions. According to local media, shufflers earn average monthly wages of approximately $140. The protesting employees are asking for a 50% increase.
Workers at the studio also told local media that their working conditions are far from excellent, with reports that insects are biting people at the studio and malfunctioning air conditioning floating around media outlets.
Commenting on the ongoing strike, Evolution said that it respects its workers’ “freedom of expression”, but any protests must be conducted in accordance with Georgian law, suggesting that it considered the current action of its employees unconstitutional.
