Yggdrasil Makes First Foray into LatAm Markets with Patagonia Deal

News

Leading online gaming supplier Yggdrasil Gaming is ready to conquer another major market after the successful integration of its content with a fellow provider.

Yggdrasil announced today that it has signed a landmark deal with online gaming provider Patagonia Entertainment that would enable it to enter the growing and rapidly regulating Latin American market.

Following the successful integration of its complete content portfolio onto Patagonia Entertainment’s platform, Yggdrasil has now made available its titles to online gambling operators servicing Latin American territories.

Founded in 2014, Patagonia Entertainment has build a formidable network of operators targeting customers from the LatAm region. Over the past five years, the company has been able to strengthen its foothold in Mexico, Colombia, and a number of other Latin American markets.

Patagonia Entertainment develops proprietary online casino and bingo content and offers an omni-channel platform solution across a number LatAm territories.

Aside from Yggdrasil’s gaming titles, including new releases Yokozuna Clash and The One Armed Bandit as well as hit games Wild Robo Factory, Jackpot Raiders, and the Vikings trilogy, Patagonia Entertainment’s network of clients will also gain access to the European iGaming provider’s range of in-game promotional tools – BOOST. Yggdrasil launched its in-game client in 2015 and it has proved wildly popular with operators since then.

LatAm Venture

Of their first foray into Latin America, Yggdrasil CEO Fredrik Elmqvist said that they are delighted to venture into the region through a partnership with Patagonia Entertainment. The executive added that their latest deal will see his company combine its “technology and extensive software development expertise” with Patagonia Entertainment’s platform and regional experience to provide the latter’s network of iGaming brands as well as their customers with “a unique gaming experience.”

Mr. Elmqvist also noted that their ultimate goal is to deliver the best casino gaming experience and their partnership with Patagonia Entertainment is a major step towards achieving that in the rapidly expanding regulated LatAm market.

The Yggdrasil deal was the latest of several similar partnerships announced by Patagonia Entertainment in recent weeks. Earlier this month, the company announced that it would add titles by providers Booongo and Habanero to bolster the offering available on its game aggregation platform, which it launched about two years ago.

Of their Yggdrasil deal, Patagonia Entertainment Global Business Development Manager Victor Arias said that partnering with the major European content supplier and “enabling our expanding operator network to integrate their award-winning content is very exciting.” Mr. Arias added that the growing LatAm market provides brands with “a host of opportunities” and that they are delighted to be able to offer Yggdrasil’s products to their regional customers.

Latin America is the latest new market Yggdrasil has secured its entry into this year. Earlier in 2019, the company debuted its content in the Czech gambling market through a deal with locally licensed operator Tipsport.
