With Halloween creeping up around the corner, major online casino supplier Microgaming has unveiled a dark and mysterious new slot that challenges players to venture into a quest for answers about what causes unexplained disappearances in a once calm and quiet English town.
Indie game studio Slingshot Studios has created the newest addition to Microgaming’s already hefty games portfolio. A Dark Matter, the content provider’s newest slot, is now available across the company’s network of gambling operators.
A Dark Matter invites players to join Scotland Yard paranormal investigator Nathan Highmore as he tries to unravel the secrets surrounding the eerie Wraith Manor in the English town of Stonehurst. Highmore believes the manor’s mysteries and menaces have a lot to do with a series of disappearings in the town.
The players’ adventure begins at the gates of Wraith Manor. A haunting original score sends shivers down the spines of those who dare to pass through the threshold of the mysterious manor to help Highmore in his search for answers.
A Dark Matter’s launch on Tuesday, October 22, follows last week’s release of Microgaming’s Africa-themed slot 9 Masks of Fire. The game was developed by Gameburger Studios, another independent game developer that creates exclusive content for the Isle of Man-based major casino industry supplier.

Microgaming’s newest title is a five-reel slot with high volatility, Invading Wilds, bidirectorial paylines, original score, a cast of mysterious characters.
The supernatural power of Invading Wilds unfolds when they land on reels two or four, spreading to adjacent reels and creating a substantial block of six wilds. When wilds land on reels two and four within the same spin, they invade together the middle reel and create a block of nine wilds that has extensive win potential.
When three doorknocker scatter symbols land on the reels, they grant players entrance to Wraith Manor’s lounge and award an initial 12 free spins. Players get additional free spins for each scatter symbol that is uncovered during the free spins feature. When wilds invade the three middle reels, they trigger a 2x multiplier with win potential of up to 2,400x a player’s bet.
Commenting on their latest release, Microgaming Director of Global Operations James Buchanan said that “Slingshot Studios have successfully created a high volatility slot experience with an engaging storyline, intricate artwork, and atmospheric sounds.”

Microgaming first unveiled its partnership with Slingshot Studios in the fall of 2018. The independent game studio is part of the content supplier’s network of like-minded developers of casino gaming content that craft exclusive content for Microgaming’s ever-growing library.
