OlyBet is the online gambling brand of legacy Eastern European casino operator Olympic Entertainment Group (OEG).
Under a recently penned agreement between OEG and GGPoker, OlyBet was able to join the major online poker network and provide its players with access to all of GGPoker’s offers and innovative features that are available to millions of players all over the world.
GGPoker originally went live across Asia back in 2014. The poker network saw a rapid growth in that lucrative market, which encouraged it to expand across new territories. GGPoker is now one of the leading poker platform providers in Europe, Canada, and a number of other big markets.
In recent months, the poker network has built a star-studded pro team that includes poker celebrities Daniel Negreanu, Bryn Kenney, and Bertrand “Elky” Grospellier.
So Long, MPN!
While OlyBet is primarily an online sports betting brand, it also offers casino games, live casino, and virtual sports under license from Estonian authorities. The operator launched its online poker product on MPN back in 2013.
OlyBet and its parent organization are also known for running some of Europe’s top poker festivals, including the Battle of Malta and Kings of Tallinn.
OlyBet had to find a new home for its online poker proposition because its now former network, MPN, is set to be shut later in May. MPN’s owner, online gaming software provider Microgaming, announced that it would close the network in September 2019.
The company said that the decision was made after an extensive internal review of its online poker product portfolio that found that for that portfolio to be successful Microgaming “had to adopt a very different strategy and business model” and the MPN network was “not part of that vision.”
OlyBet went live on GGPoker on Thursday, April 30, in all of its markets simultaneously. According to Poker Industry Pro, the operator will keep its MPN skins until Microgaming’s network goes offline on May 19 in a bid to facilitate its players when making the transition.

The WSOP Super Circuit Online Series kicked off on Sunday, May 3, and will run through May 31 and OlyBet players will be able to take part in the international festival from the comfort of their own home.
