Double Ball Roulette uses two balls in one spin. This lesson describes the traditional double-zero version analysed by Michael Shackleford. Other editions can have different rules and payouts. Inside and outside bets settle differently. On a standard single-number inside wager in this version, exactly one ball on your number pays seventeen to one in profit. Both balls on that number pay thirty-four to one. The winning stake is returned separately. A red outside bet needs both balls to land red and pays three to one in profit. One red result is not enough. A double-ball jackpot requires both balls on the same number you selected before the spin, not merely any matching pair. Check the posted jackpot payout. For an illustrative model, assume both results are independent and each of the thirty-eight pockets is equally likely. The probability of at least one ball on a chosen number is one minus thirty-seven over thirty-eight squared: seventy-five out of fourteen forty-four. Both red has probability eighteen over thirty-eight squared. At a three-to-one profit payout, its expected loss is about ten point two five percent of stake. These calculations are assumptions about the model, not a physical test of the wheel. Check the exact edition and set a limit.
