Jacks or Better normally uses a standard fifty-two-card deck without wild cards. A pair of jacks, queens, kings or aces is the lowest paying hand. The exact pay table and royal-flush wager condition determine the strategy you should use. A standard nine-six table pays nine credits per credit for a full house and six for a flush. Two pair returns two, and four of a kind twenty-five. The familiar optimal return of about ninety-nine point five four percent assumes the complete standard table and an eight-hundred-per-credit royal at the qualifying wager. A simplified chart can return less. Here is a strategy example. Suppose the cards are ace, king, queen and jack of spades, plus a jack of diamonds. You have a paying high pair, but also four cards toward a natural royal flush. The matched nine-six strategy keeps the four spades and discards the other jack. A made paying hand is not automatically the best Hold decision. Use the complete priority chart and its exceptions. Identify all possible holds, then choose the highest applicable one; do not apply a low-priority rule merely because it matches first. Confirm the Held markers before Draw. A strategy improves the expectation under its assumptions, but it cannot guarantee the next hand or a profitable session. Keep the total stake within your spending limit.
