Multiplayer BlackjackMultiplayer Blackjack is another Playtech creation that is featured at many different online casinos.

This game changes the dynamic of the traditional online blackjack game and makes it more realistic

This is arguably one of the first attempts of Playtech to incorporate multiplayer aspects, before the launch of their Live Casino.

Gaming Experience

Multiplayer Blackjack really offers a different experience when compared to other similar games. The visual experience, for starters, is nothing short of incredible. Playtech has truly outdone itself when creating the graphics for this title. You will be presented with a beautiful rendition of a blackjack table, that will certainly appeal to every casino goer. The animations run perfectly and you will not experience any stutter or choppiness during play. The game runs smoothly and loads just as quickly.

It is interesting to notice how the game’s dynamic changes when you add other players into the picture. The most observable change is the time limit that is imposed on you. You have 15 seconds to complete your turn, otherwise, you will automatically stand. This forces you to make decisions much faster than usual, which may or may not work in your favor. There will be up to 5 other players in the game and you will have to wait for them to finish before you can make your play. All of this makes the game play more akin to Live Blackjack than any virtual version, but without the presence of a real person on the screen. While this may make the game more immersive, that comes at the cost of several important factors – unlimited time to make a play and convenience of not needing to conform with other players.

Specific Features

This game is not the most complex where blackjack titles are concerned. It features standard rules and nothing too out of the ordinary. There are six 52-card packs in the shoe and hitting a blackjack will reward you with a 3:2 payout. Compared to other similar games, these are excellent features and it is nice to see that the game is no stingy with its rewards. The dealer will draw to 16 and stand on 17, though it does not mention whether they hit a soft 17. You can double down on any 2 cards, even after you split a pair. Additionally, you can split any hand that consists of two cards of equal value. You cannot, however, resplit hands and can only split Aces once. Whenever you split a hand of Aces, you will only get one card on each hand. Overall, there is nothing here out of the realms of the familiar and any season blackjack player will feel right at home.

Multiplayer Blackjack is certainly an interesting addition to any online casino. It tries to replicate the authentic feeling of playing in a real casino environment but comes up somewhat short. It incorporates some of the negative aspects found today in Live Blackjack but does not seem to include any of the positives. When all is said and done you would be much better off playing Playtech’s Live Blackjack version rather than dealing with its predecessor. You will have a much more entertaining and immersive experience, that is superior to the virtual in every way.
