Explore Microgaming gamesGoblin’s Gold is a historical three-reel, three-payline slot developed by Microgaming. Its cave setting uses goblins, bags of gold, lanterns and BAR symbols. This guide describes the older desktop edition shown in the screenshot below; it does not confirm that a particular casino currently offers the game.

How the historical game works
The three horizontal paylines are selected through the coin setting. The archived interface shows a coin denomination of 5, COINS 3 and a total BET of 15.00. At that setting, three coins at five currency units each cost 15 currency units per spin. The screenshot does not display a currency symbol, so the amount should not automatically be read as euros or dollars.
The goblin head is wild and substitutes for all symbols. The game screen explicitly states that only the highest win is paid per selected line. Winning combinations must therefore be evaluated on a selected line; simply seeing the symbols somewhere on the reels is insufficient.

Paytable and coin units
The archived screen displays the following awards. LCB describes the top awards in coins; convert a coin award using the selected coin denomination, not the total three-line stake. The goblin awards are distinguished by the numbered, coloured line markers on the screen.
| Winning combination on a selected line | Award in coins |
|---|---|
| Three mixed BAR symbols | 5 |
| Three single BARs | 25 |
| Three double BARs | 50 |
| Three triple BARs | 100 |
| Three lanterns | 300 |
| Three bags of gold | 500 |
| Three goblins, line 1 | 1,500 |
| Three goblins, line 2 | 3,000 |
| Three goblins, line 3 | 6,000 |
Worked payout example
At a coin denomination of 0.25 currency units, the 6,000-coin line-3 award is 6,000 × 0.25 = 1,500 currency units. Selecting all three lines costs 3 × 0.25 = 0.75 currency units per spin. The award is therefore not 6,000 times the total three-line stake. At the screenshot’s five-unit denomination, the same 6,000-coin award converts to 30,000 currency units. These calculations explain the historical paytable; they do not establish current limits or availability.
Features and limitations
This edition has no separate bonus round or free-spin feature. Its main special symbol is the substituting goblin, with different three-goblin awards by line. The displayed 6,000-coin top prize is a fixed paytable award rather than evidence of a shared progressive pot. Simple controls and a wild symbol do not make the game profitable or guarantee a return.

Goblin’s Gold questions
Which version does this guide describe?
The historical Microgaming desktop game with three reels and three selectable horizontal lines. The archived interface places its paytable to the right of the reels.
What does the goblin wild do?
The game screen says that it substitutes for all symbols. Three goblins also have their own line-dependent awards, shown separately in the paytable.
Why are there three different goblin awards?
The screenshot labels the three-goblin awards by line: 1,500 coins on line 1, 3,000 on line 2 and 6,000 on line 3. The relevant line must be selected.
Does 6,000 coins mean 6,000 times my total bet?
No. Convert the award using the coin denomination. With three lines selected, the total spin stake includes three coins, so multiplying by the whole spin stake would overstate the illustrated award.
Are there free spins or a bonus game?
No separate bonus round or free-spin feature is described for this historical edition. The substituting goblin is its main special symbol.
Can I play Goblin’s Gold at the casinos listed here?
A listing alone does not confirm current game availability. Check the operator’s actual lobby, provider and game rules; this page documents an older release.
