Goldbeard is Realtime Gaming’s historical five-reel, 20-payline pirate slot. Ships, parrots, cannons and treasure chests appear alongside card ranks. Its captain symbol acts as a wild and helps trigger free games; gold coins are scatters with awards based on the total stake.

Goldbeard screenshots

Historical Realtime Gaming imagery from our sister site KeyToCasinos, Goldbeard entry. All three screens were visually checked on 7 October 2026. They describe the pictured edition, not current casino availability.

How Goldbeard works

The interface has separate Bet and Lines controls. The pictured selection is 20 lines at $0.05 each, giving a $1.00 spin. That setting does not establish the minimum or maximum stakes, and the earlier review’s euro limits have not been verified for a current edition.

Line combinations pay from left to right. Gold coins are scatters and need not form a line. Only the highest award is paid on each line; awards from different lines are added, and scatter wins are added to line wins.

In normal games, the captain wild appears only on reels one and five. It substitutes for symbols other than scatters. A winning combination containing one or more captain wilds receives a doubled award, rather than a separate doubling for every captain in the combination.

Rules and payout examples

The historical help applies line awards to the bet per line and scatter awards to the total stake. These examples use the screenshot’s $0.05 line bet and $1.00 total bet. They show gross awards; net profit depends on subtracting the spin cost from all returns.

Selected historical Goldbeard awards
OutcomeAward basisExample return
Three ships100 × line bet$5.00
Three-ship combination with captain substitution200 × line bet$10.00
Two gold-coin scatters1 × total bet$1.00
Three gold-coin scatters5 × total bet$5.00
Four gold-coin scatters20 × total bet$20.00
Five gold-coin scatters100 × total bet$100.00

The 100-times scatter award applies to five coins, not to any appearance of a coin. The paytable’s line multipliers are also not full-spin multipliers: with 20 active lines, the total stake is twenty times a single line bet.

Free games and captain wilds

The feature requires at least one captain on both reel one and reel five. Each triggering captain reveals two, three or four free games. The original help advertises up to 24 free games from the trigger; the earlier review’s four-game figure describes an individual reveal, not the whole feature award.

During free games, captain symbols can also appear on reel three. Captains on both outer reels can award further free games. The help states that wins in free games are tripled and that the feature uses the triggering game’s lines and bet. The current version’s rules should be checked for its exact settlement and retrigger conditions.

Random jackpot and edition limits

The original help describes a progressive jackpot that is triggered randomly at the end of a game and added to other wins. The screenshot’s meter is historical; it is not a current jackpot quote. The same screen specifies a 50,000-times-line-bet cap for a paid spin. That is an edition-specific line-bet limit, not a verified current jackpot cap or a multiple of the full 20-line stake.

These images contain older autoplay and help controls. They do not confirm which controls or betting limits are currently offered, and no current RTP has been verified here. Check the exact game’s paytable and availability with the operator, including access from your location.

Frequently asked questions

Who developed this Goldbeard edition?

This is Realtime Gaming’s historical Goldbeard, identified by our sister-site catalog and the matching 20-line pirate interface.

Does one captain trigger free games?

Not by itself. The historical help requires one or more captain symbols on both reel one and reel five. Each triggering captain then reveals two, three or four free games.

Is the feature limited to four free games?

No. Four is the maximum revealed by an individual captain. The pictured help advertises up to 24 free games from the trigger, and additional games can be awarded during the feature.

Do all gold coins pay 100 times the stake?

No. The scatter schedule shows 1, 5, 20 and 100 times the total bet for two, three, four and five coins respectively.

Does each extra wild double the payout again?

The pictured rule doubles a winning combination containing one or more captain wilds. It does not describe repeated doubling for each additional wild.

Are the old jackpot and stakes current?

They have not been verified. The screenshots document historical values and rules, and casino listings do not establish current Goldbeard availability or jackpot participation.
