Explore Microgaming gamesLittle Chief Big Cash is a historical five-reel slot from Microgaming, with 25 paylines and a bonus that combines selections with free spins. This review covers the original desktop edition pictured in Games and Casino’s gallery. That directory now groups the game under Games Global and marks it as no longer available; a historical listing is not confirmation that a casino currently offers it.

Reading the bet in coins and cash units
The original screen separates the number of lines, coins per line and coin denomination. In the pictured example, 25 lines at 10 coins each produce a 250-coin spin. With the denomination set to 0.01, that costs 2.50 cash units. Ten coins per line means 0.10 units on each line, not a total spin stake of 0.10.
Line combinations run from left to right. The chief is the wild and substitutes for ordinary paying symbols, but not the coyote scatter. The historical rules describe doubled awards when the wild substitutes. The screenshot labelled Wild shows a 100-coin award for line 2 alongside a 210-coin overall win: an individual line award and the total result are different figures.
What the original scatter screen confirms

Two coyotes appear on different rows and reels in this screen. The message reads “Scatter win pays 250 coins,” while the bet and win fields both show 250. At the displayed 0.01 denomination, the gross return is 2.50 units against a 2.50-unit stake: the net result is zero. This is a scatter payment independent of a single payline.
| Displayed result | Coin amount | Value at 0.01 per coin |
|---|---|---|
| Paid spin: 25 lines, 10 coins per line | 250 coins staked | 2.50 units |
| Two-coyote scatter screen | 250 coins returned | 2.50 units; zero net gain on that spin |
| Individual line message in the Wild screen | 100 coins returned on line 2 | 1.00 unit for that line |
| Free-spin screen’s current win message | 400 coins | 4.00 units |
These are observed examples, not a reconstructed full symbol paytable. In particular, the scatter screenshot demonstrates why a scatter award should not automatically be described as a multiple of the line stake.
The selection feature and free spins
The reel screen states that three or more coyotes trigger the Big Cash Feature. The historical rules describe an initial award of 10 free spins, followed by selections from five teepees that can add credits or spins. The bonus screenshot gives the stopping rule: selections continue until the coyote is found, after which the accumulated free spins begin.

The free-spin screen explicitly says that all wins are doubled. It shows 18 spins remaining, a 400-coin win message and a separate feature-wins total of 6,650 coins. At 0.01 per coin, those amounts are 4.00 and 66.50 units respectively. The 66.50 is the running feature total shown at that moment, not a separate prize to add again to the current win. A free spin has no additional paid-spin stake, but the feature follows a paid triggering spin.
The historical rules say the Big Cash Feature cannot be retriggered during free spins. Extra spins obtained through selections should not be confused with a new scatter-triggered feature. Neither the four gallery images nor their win examples establish a guaranteed bonus return or a universal maximum win.
Frequently asked questions
Do two coyotes trigger the bonus?
No. The pictured two-coyote result pays a scatter award; the on-screen trigger requires at least three.
Does a 250-coin win mean 250 cash units?
No. Multiply coins by the selected denomination. At 0.01 per coin, 250 coins equal 2.50 units.
Why does the free-spin screen show more than ten spins?
The initial allocation can be increased during the selection stage before free spins begin. The gallery shows 18 remaining, but does not establish a maximum allocation.
Should the 400-coin win be doubled again?
No. It is the displayed result from a mode already labelled “All wins doubled.” Do not apply another multiplier to a settled win message.
Is a current RTP or casino version confirmed?
No exact RTP is displayed in these original screenshots. This article documents the historical desktop edition and does not infer current availability, denominations or rules from casino listings.
