Older edition — looking for another slot?
This review documents a historical game edition. The archived rules and screenshots do not confirm current availability.
Explore Microgaming gamesLumber Cats is a historical Microgaming slot with five reels and 20 selectable paylines. This page examines the original desktop edition preserved in LCB’s gallery. Its log-cabin frame and lumberjack cats distinguish it from other cat-themed games; current availability and configuration require a separate check.

Original reels and a verified stake example

The captured setting is 20 lines multiplied by ten coins per line, giving a 200-coin spin stake. At the visible 0.25 denomination, that is 50 denomination units. No currency symbol identifies those units, so this example is not labelled euros or dollars. The displayed WIN field is zero; the image does not show a winning settlement.
What the preserved paytable actually shows

The A/K panel lists 15 for three, 50 for four and 200 for five. The older table on this page said 250 for five; that figure has been removed because it disagrees with the screenshot. The Q/J panel reads 10, 25 and 150, while the 10/9 panel reads 5, 15 and 100.
For comparison, the cabin row displays 20, 75 and 500 for three, four and five matching symbols. The truck row displays 20, 100 and 1,000. These are transcriptions of the paytable entries. This particular screen does not explicitly explain whether its numbers are base multipliers or stake-adjusted coin amounts, so multiplying them by the ten-coin setting would introduce an unverified assumption. Consult the adjacent Rules screen before translating them into a cash payout.
Two different feature triggers
The reel-screen instructions state that three or more tree symbols trigger Tree Climb. A different combination awards five re-spins: a log anywhere on both reels one and five, together with the lumber-cat symbol anywhere on reel three. These are positional conditions, not a requirement for three symbols on one payline.
The paytable states that ordinary symbols pay from left to right, while the tree symbol pays in any position. LCB describes the lead cat as Wild, excluding the tree and log symbols from substitution, and describes Tree Climb as a choice of one of three racing cats. The available captures do not establish the race’s prize schedule or all re-spin rules.
Frequently asked questions
Which Lumber Cats edition is shown?
The historical Microgaming desktop edition with 20 selectable lines. The screenshots are not evidence that a particular casino still offers it.
Are the trees and logs interchangeable?
No. The screen gives them different feature conditions: three or more trees for Tree Climb, versus logs on the outer reels with the cat on reel three for five re-spins.
Do five A symbols show 250?
No. The preserved A/K panel shows 200. The previous 250 entry was not retained.
Is a 200-coin bet the same as 200 in cash?
No. At a denomination of 0.25, 200 coins represent 50 denomination units. The currency still depends on the game configuration.
What RTP and maximum bet apply today?
The captures do not establish current limits or an edition-specific RTP. LCB’s prose and data panel give different stake ranges and cash maxima, so those figures are not presented as universal settings here.
