Mad Dash is Microgaming’s five-reel, 20-payline racing slot. This guide covers the historical desktop edition shown in the original LCB screenshots, rather than assuming that every later distribution has identical settings.

Reels and stake calculation

Original Mad Dash reels showing 20 lines and one coin per line
The reel screen shows 20 lines, one coin per line and a 20-coin bet.

The denomination displayed is 0.25. With one coin on each of 20 lines, the total is 20 coins, equivalent to 5 denomination units. The screenshot does not identify a currency, so that calculation should not be labelled dollars or euros. The paytable below uses a different stake: ten coins per line, making 200 coins across all 20 lines.

A verified payout example

Mad Dash original paytable with logo Wild and regular symbol awards
The paytable distinguishes coins per line from the total bet used for scatters.

Three A symbols pay five times the line stake. At the paytable screen’s ten coins per line, that produces 50 coins, equivalent to 12.50 denomination units. Against the full 200-coin spin stake, that award alone would leave a net loss of 150 coins. This is a worked example, not a winning result shown in the capture.

Five Mad Dash logos pay 2,000 times the line stake: 20,000 coins at ten coins per line. This is a payline calculation, not a verified maximum total win for the game.

Wild and scatter rules

The logo substitutes for every symbol except the scatter. Ordinary combinations pay from left to right; scatter symbols can pay in any position. Only the highest award on a selected line is paid, and scatter wins are added to payline wins. Regular awards use coins per line, whereas scatter awards use the total bet.

The racing bonus

LCB describes a race triggered by three to five cup scatters. After choosing a racer, third, second and first place award ten, 15 and 25 free spins respectively, with wins during those spins multiplied by four. The two preserved screenshots show the base game and ordinary paytable, not the race help screen; these feature details are therefore attributed to LCB’s review.

Frequently asked questions

Which edition is illustrated?

The original Microgaming desktop game with 20 paylines. Historical casino branding in the paytable is not evidence of current availability.

Does the Wild substitute for the cup?

No. The original paytable explicitly excludes the scatter from substitution.

Do all payouts use the full spin stake?

No. Regular line awards use the amount on that line; scatter awards use the total bet.

Does finishing third award no free spins?

LCB’s feature description says third place still awards ten free spins.

What are the current RTP and stake limits?

These historical screens do not establish current settings. LCB’s prose and game-data panel give inconsistent betting ranges and maximum cash awards, so no universal cash limit or edition-specific RTP is asserted here. Check the help in the exact version offered.

Provider identification, both visually inspected original captures and the attributed race description come from LCB’s Mad Dash entry. Payline examples above are calculated directly from the visible paytable.
