Original reels and betting units

Magic Multiplier original reels showing 30 lines and 20 coins per line
Historical LCB gameplay screen: 30 lines, 20 coins per line and a 600-coin stake.

The first screen shows a 0.01 coin denomination, 30 selected lines and 20 coins per line. That makes 600 coins, equivalent to 6 denomination units. No currency symbol establishes dollars or euros. The separate paytable capture uses ten coins per line and a 300-coin stake.

A verified line-win example

Magic Multiplier paytable showing card symbols and grouped letter awards
Regular awards are multiplied by the coins staked on the winning line.

Three playing-card symbols pay 15 times the line stake. At ten coins per line, that is 150 coins, or 1.50 denomination units with a 0.01 coin. Against a full 30-line stake of 300 coins, that one award alone would leave a net loss of 150 coins. It is a worked paytable example, not the outcome displayed on the screen.

The captured A/K group pays 10, 20 and 150 for three, four and five matching symbols respectively. The Q/J group pays four, ten and 100. The five-symbol A/K value is 150 in this edition; the previous article’s 125 value was inconsistent with the direct paytable.

Wilds, scatters and two pick features

Magic Multiplier rules explaining Wild exclusions, Curtain Feature and Cups Feature
The original rules distinguish line-stake awards from total-bet and triggering-bet awards.

Regular symbols pay left to right. Only the highest win is paid on each selected line; wins on different selected lines are added. Scatter wins use the total bet and are added to line wins. The magician substitutes except for the scattered cups, curtain and wheel. A winning combination with one or more substituting magicians has its prize doubled.

The Curtain Feature requires curtains simultaneously on reels two, three and four. Select a curtain to reveal a prize, with a possible additional selection. Awards are multiplied by the triggering bet and added to line and scatter wins.

The Cups Feature requires cups simultaneously on reels three, four and five. It gives three rounds of choosing a cup after the hidden ball is shuffled. Finding the ball can award up to 25 times the triggering bet; missing it gives a consolation award of twice that bet. For a 300-coin triggering bet, that consolation calculation is 600 coins for the applicable round. This is not a 600-coin guaranteed net profit for the whole spin.

Frequently asked questions

Who made this version?

This is the classic Microgaming Magic Multiplier shown in LCB’s provider-labelled entry and historical Viper interface.

Are all awards multiplied by the total stake?

No. Regular payline awards use coins per line. Scatter awards use the total bet, while the two pick features use the triggering bet.

Does the Wild replace every scatter?

No. The rules exclude the cups, curtain and wheel scatters from substitution.

Are free spins verified?

The reel screen states that three or more wheel symbols award the free-spin feature. These three captures do not show the full free-spin rules, so no spin count, multiplier or retrigger limit is asserted here.

What are the current RTP and betting limits?

They are not established by these historical captures. Check the help for the exact edition offered by an operator; the examples above are screen-specific calculations.
